perfectly possible to loose that in a week especially if your not eating enough and certainly exercising a lot, eventually you will crash.

I am quite pleased with my self this week, I have eaten more and done less (got my calories up to my maintain rate (I felt like I was cheating by eating so much!!) and lo and behold I have had a 4lb loss this week!! must be the taste of paracetamol killing the calories lol

But seriously, if getting in the calories means I will lose weight I am going to eat!! I never knew before about the different amounts of calories needed for different weights of people. They don't tell you that now do they!! So a huge THANK YOU to Eric for all his links to the sites which work them out for you. I have lost more this last 3 months with this group than I ever did on my own or with any paying group. Nice one MSE'rs
You never know how strong you are until you have no other option.

people often loose extra weight in the first couple of weeks as well, unhealthy people tend to store water and I watched a program where they showed some scans of super super morbidly obese people where they had up to 40lbs of material in there bowel being processed.

Hezza congratulations on your success at the swimathon! :j That's a great time, you're a speedy one and your DD must be a swimming machine to do that in less than 1 hour! Wow! :D Very impressive!

It was me that asked about the goggles (not Margaret :)), thanks for the reply. I've never had a problem with fogging or leaks but every pair I've had (and like you, I've been through many!) starts cutting into my face after about 50 lengths. At the moment I'm loving my aqua spheres - they are the ones that are like a cross between goggles and a mask. Not the most fashionable of items but the 180 degree vision is amazing!

Fellpony, what a result for you! :T Well done everyone else who's happy with their weigh in too! :D

Thanks Missy :D DD swims for a club four hours a week so the swimathon was like a normal Wednesday night training session for her!! She is a very strong swimmer and very good technically but not the fastest in her club group so to be the fastest on the night was fantastic for her!! She hates competing normally - hates the atmosphere & pressure at county meets & can just about handle time trials that her club hold on a monthly basis, so she got a real boost from Saturday. Both my kids are great swimmers, I used to do a lot when I was younger but let it all slide when boys and going out with friends beckoned......;) Where did you get your aqua spheres from??? might give them a try - I dont care what they look like, you see all sorts at my local pool anyway!! :D

Am reporting a STS this week (I'm changing my WI day to Tuesdays cos I always have a crack-of-dawn-start on Wednesdays now and cant face a WI at 5am!!). Thanks to victory for re-posting the info ref plateauing (which I'm def doing at the mo), once I've got this travelling routine cracked I'm gonna focus on getting those scales to move!! downwards!!
