Wow, lots of chat on here today. Its great to see.
My last couple of days have been pretty good. I ate well within my allowance yesterday and today, did my 30 minutes at curves and am making small gestures towards getting fitter and healthier (walking to sainsbury instead of taking the car). I'd have loved to have gone out for a walk at tea time too but had a meeting instead and didnt manage to get out. I suppose I could do a wee half hour on the wii fit but grey's anatomy is on RTE and I love it too much.
Does anyone watch supersize v's superskinny? What did you think of this week's episode? I was fascinated by the man who was bulimic and managed to beat his emotional eating. I have to admit, I would have quite a problem with emotional eating myself and I admired his ability to turn things around in the space of 3 months. It shows amazing discipline.
WI tomorrow for me. I'm not expecting too much as I'd quite a bad weekend (emotional eating again). Hope everyone else is doing ok.0 -
First weeks been a disaster lol.
Cut back the drinking, moved more, scarified the lawn and done the garden, tidying the garage, doing a bit more housework and walking more.
Weigh in's around mid-day tomorrow, we'll see how it goes.0 -
Mmm - that means quite a trek for me then - no bra shops locally (unless you count Tesco ). Thanks for the advice - there is a new D'hams opening soon which is a bit closer so I might go when they open to try them out.
I wouldnt!! When a new store opened near to us about 5 (hopeless) people came to us for training, god knows what they would be like!! If you do go, ask for someone either with previous experience or how much experience they have had, because if you are big busted its crucial to get it right, you dont wanna be messed around. Sorry i cant offer much advice, but it is so hard to do yourself and every bra will come up slightly different to another so its not really worth me guiding you though it all, its rare that i when i fitted (in fuller bust) i would look at a lady and get everything perfect in one try on of a bra, sometimes a style change is needed or the one i picked they didnt like, or it needed a bigger cup still ect...0 -

So thank you Vixarooni for your advice :T Still having problems with a normal bra had my 3rd fitting today in the same independant retailer but when they come through they don't seem to want to fit properly
Ah well at least they are not giving up.
Glad i helped a little bit!! Remember to keep going back, depending on size of boobage and how often youre using it it wont last long, 6 months max max for a good amount of usage.0 -
Vix - no tape measure? - how do you know what size to start with, an educated guess?
Ask them what they are currently wearing, but if you get a general idea anyway from their size, just like you can judge what clothes size people are.Eric_Pisch wrote: »any lean meat is ideal, ie all the fat removed (skin removed on chicken), even steak is pretty low calorie if its lean.
i try to mix it up so that i get 2 of these 3 every day, fish, red meat, chicken
and then on the next day have 2 one of which being the missing one so
day 1 lunch fish, dinner red meat
day 2 lunch chicken, dinner red meat
day 3 lunch chicken, dinner fish
like that
(i also take a protein supplement in the morning but I am trying to put on 20-30lbs of muscle over the next couple of years with heavy resistance training and it is very noticeably working)
red meat is very important especially for those working out for the iron and myoglobin so i would make sure on strength training days i eat red meat, fish gives you omega 3 which is also important
I would go with what ever gives you good value and you enjoy, if you are near the coast and have cheap seafood then squid and shell fish are also ideal.
What you are aiming to do is to make sure there is some protein in the system most of the time or at least a good part of the time, it helps reduce hunger, it helps repair and injured muscle from training, it helps grow muscle from resistance training, it can give you essential nutrients and there is also some research showing that it reduces the risk of weight loss coming from internal muscle rather than fat.
Could you give us a picture of a celebrity again to show us what you are trying to achieve? just so we have a good mental picture of itEric_Pisch wrote: »I also do free bikini lines :A

Yes weather is lovely, shame to waste it at work !! lovely sunset here tho tonight! Am psyching myself up for weigh in tommorow- dont think ive done much this week as i 'under' did it and been trying to rebalance since!
Eric- doesn't sound like you're eating much- mind you don't fall into the same eating not enough trap i nearly did!! Maybe you need more especially if youre exercisingAnyway, am off to do 'diet' SW chips, catch up later - good luck for weigh in all X
im eating a huge amount, i just try to avoid energy dense foods, between 1750-2000 cals a day and i carb load about an hour before i exercise, couple of nanas before the treadmill and 2 nanas and 2 apples before strength training0 -
i get to thinking about food, always at that time past lunch--it was 4,30 where i am but it has passed without a morcel--i will eat after i have finished teaching for the day--i teach better when i am hungry!!---its a habit here for people to eat here between 7,30 and 9 which doesnt help the cause!
ideally you want to split your food up into 4-6 smaller portions and have them every 3-4 hours, i normally have 5 meals a day
eating very late and then going to sleep is not good, your body will just store it as fat and it makes your heart work whilst your asleep, ideally you should eat 3 hours before you sleep at the latest
it is also important to get 8 hours sleep every night if you can0 -
