    mmmmm *sighs*

Thank you so much for sharing Eric - you've just made my day!!! And totally agree "300" one of the best films ever (and not for eye candy reasons)

    Hi all newbees and returners

BB Yep been watching Prof Brian but not for eye candy - OH has a degree in Physics so anything Planet related is a must in our house

retiredlady  they were charging what price  was it a solid gold salad maker!!!

victory don't mean to play devil's advocat but we changed our shower to a higher watt one and it melted - we had to get a plumber out to change it and he said that we could have electrocuted ourselves and that the wiring needed changed because it couldn't cope with the higher watt shower. Please make sure your electical cable can cope with your nice new shower

Mazza don't know about you but I got sunburnt yesterday. I was only out in it for 2 hours  but then I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to sunshine - i burn really easily.
  • Hi all, Happy Monday. Hope you all had lovely weekends.

Well done Marion, that's brilliant!! :j:T:j:A

And big congrats to Eric too, hurrah!! :T:j:T:A

I think I have found new motivation for the weight loss - rehearsals in a dance studio, complete with a wall of mirrors! Staring at oneself for hours on end, especially with direct comparisons with those standing nearby, definitely curbed my junk cravings this weekend! :rotfl:

Ooh have a lovely picnic Mazza. I'm not jealous, much!

    .
It is 2kw higher than the previous one and the first shower of today has blown the switch downstairs, came down flicked it back up had the shower, son had shower and so far so good but do take your point and will ask OH immediately he comes in as to why it tripped and if we should get it checked:D what was the difference in KW of yours?

you just pick meaning less targets that are something to aim at, small chunks seam more manageable, I have some what further to go than you thou :p

targets could be beating my last best effort, change of BMI classification, being able to use a piece of equipment, 25%, 50%, 75% of weight lost etc, anything that could be significant to you

i have 30lbs to loose --84kgs down to 70kgs--its a big percentage and i gave up drinking months ago --i have no vices left to salvage a change lol--so far my gym work is haphazard and without aim because i dont feel as energetic and flexible as i use to--i feel like a bag of old bones tonight but i want to go again tomorrow because i am not working much -i am aiming at 2,2lbs a week or 1kg-not much has shifted so far but i feel better about myself despite the aches!!--i hate glipsing myself in all those mirrors--not the gyms fault but my shape!!

İ cant follow the diets you have because of my situation so i am trying to create my own ---i will do my food list for the past 2 days-
Sunday breakfast--a bit of salad -olives -small amount of low fat cheese -and a couple of slices of bread- tea with uht semi skimmed milk-skipped lunch as not hungry-at gym-a litre of water --dinner a sea fish baked in no sauce with a couple of boiled potatoes and a big bowl of salad--an apple to complete the day--plenty of water after the gym.
Today -salad and olives with lf cheese again-2 slices of bread-a cuppa-lunch a small tin of tuna on diet rye bread-8 almond nuts and a cup of green tea--tea time -homemade soup- tomato with spaghetti in--dinner a bowl of chick beans and 2 slices of bread--always small slices--i will have another apple later and maybe a cup of coffee to live dangerously!!
Am i being sensible or over doing it while exercising?

Marian that's a great loss --- maybe the posh coleslaw is helping?

Thanks for asking Beanie -- I'm getting used to the stick but not sure if it's helping. The trouble is I still want to do things like gardening (well chopping stuff down really) and don't use the stick for that, and have been walking quite a lot (about 10km, not a lot by Missy's standards :rotfl::rotfl:) and I'm not sure that's a good idea even with the stick.

DB -- what a kind and generous offer. Do you fancy a visit to London in my astonishingly cluttered spare room?

I think you're partly right, Sary. Too many changes all at once aren't helping my focus- but that isn't an excuse really. It's just ridiculousness.

Was a lovely day, not so good on the food front but gotta make hay while the sun shines so to speak. 5 of us in a Citroen Saxo. Not the best car to travel in, but we got there and home again :rotfl:Was so nice the kids even went paddling in the sea, I wasn't quite so brave!

Can I just vouch for Norn Iron... we're having a lovely April heatwave too. Bliss. I've brought out last year's linen trousers in the hope that I might get to wear them more often this year. Now I just need to lose the 7 or so lbs to get into them again.

GN - thanks for the invite. Given how unwell BB was are you sure you want me to visit?

de1amob it looks to me like you're eating quite a bit of bread and veggies and not too much else. If you're exercising I would say you might probably need to eat a bit more than you currently are, up your protein dont forget fruit, and if you're worried about your tum, try cutting down on the bread for a bit and see how that works out

A good day for me today so far. .. Not to much longer to hold out till bedtime. Have been to Curves today and managed to resist the buns at tea time at work and the choc chip cookies at my friends house this afternoon. It didnt take much will power to be honest, They looked rotten lol.

edited to add : Well done to this weeks losers so far x
