de1amo - some turkish recipes would be great! I'm a big fan of turkish/greek/middle eastern food.

Tonight i'm making a 'healthy' paella with prawns even though Sunday is technically my day off - since I don't eat much for breakfast during the week (no time and too early to eat properly) I allow myself something nice on a Sunday, usually beans, toast and eggs.

Missy - thanks for the advice re. calorie deficit. I an going to try to hit the gym more so that the amount of cals I eat can be a little higher most days.

I know for a fact that a few sessions at the gym per week can make me feel 100% better than a week of starvation - even if I've lost no weight its amazing how fast my shape changes and I feel more confident. I just have to keep going - the more I go the more I want to go but as soon as I stop I can't start again! But I went yesterday and did crosstrainer, cycling and resistance machines - burnt 500 cals in 1 hour in total. No idea how good that is compared to other people's workouts, but it felt good to do some exercise.

I have signed up for a go on the Power plate at my gym tomorrow - it's meant to be an amazing workout, though is likely to leave me unable to move the next morning as it uses all sorts of muscles you never knew you had! should be fun anyway even if it is just the latest fitness fad!
    Anyone tried it before?

    Fredsnail,what's your bra question???

    Hello

Did you miss me? Just when I get 24/7 access to the internet, my computer decides to go wrong and it's taken me over a week to get it sorted out. Anyway, I'm back again, I haven't bothered weighing myself as I couldn't report in, but I'm still going for it.

Haven't gone back through all the posts as I've got loads of catching up to do and I'm in the middle of cooking the dinner, but hoping everyone is doing well.

Catch you again soon - I hope (touches wood quickly).

I've still got the knowlege though! :p

Something really odd has happened to me this weekend... ive been watching golf!! I never watch golf but as soon as i saw westwood and poulter at the top of the leader board i got hooked. I dunno why im liking it? Maybe this is the first signs of age creeping in?

katmad I totally agree with you on the gym. I find when I do my 3 times a week at curves and whatever other activities during the week, my shape improves so much, it really does help motivate me that much more and my appetitie gets less. I haven't been able to go as often as I'd like since I hurt my back a couple of months ago, but that's on the mend now and hopefull this will be my first full week back.

BB - I'm sorry to hear your boiler isnt' covered on your house insurance. It drives me crackers that you pay all that money out for house insurance and it doesnt even cover your boiler. Its good to hear that you've rediscovered your dieting mojo even if it meant you being terribly ill.

grannynise - If you're having difficulties rediscovering your mojo, I can always come over to yours for a visit and make you terribly ill too.:rotfl:

I've had a terrible weekend diet wise, for various reasons that I dont really want to go into, but I'm determined to get moving on improving my health and appearance. So a fresh start tomorrow. .

Vix - what's the best/correct way to measure yourself for a bra?

I've tried a couple of methods and always within few weeks am cursing because I'm coming out of all the wrong places when I'd rather remain covered and where it should be :o Sadly I've inherited the family very ample bossom - which isn't helped by being overweight I know.

Have got a good sports bra though -but need something more everyday that keeps everything where it should be :) Nothing worse than having to go to see the boss and discreetly making sure there are no strange lumps enroute

Still aching from saturday nights excersions and it's time to go to the gym for more weights!-we went yesterday and i did some light fat burning stuff and a whole 5 lenghts swimming--i couldnt get back for the 6th !---Mrs De did her gym assessment and swam with me--its her first time in a gym but she felt great after it and we both missed our mid day meal on sunday and didnt feel hungry! we had fresh fish for dinner and felt good!!--
i do ache today though and will ask if it is safe to use weights because i have a pre-existing back condition--genetic like!
i only drank 1 cup of coffee yesterday but it tasted oh so good!
İ have never had trouble dieting and loosing weight and have noticed that women once they are on a diet get food 'obsessed' --i worked in an office and we had a office diet scheme once--the women would sit around and talk food while doing work--they focussed on the problem and one thing i know it is best not to think about is food!!--the chocolate machine never did such business!!--i get obsessed over the exercise and food becomes irrelevant-i know i have to eat to feed the furnace to keep exercising but i make it healthy.-despite aching i feel 'tighter and lighter with little change to my diet--just less bread and coffee--more veg.--Mrs De fortunately always ate healthily before i came into her life so she can cook 'good stuff!!
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.
