Well have had a very busy fortnight, the builders have eventually started work in the house, so hopefully we won't be in temp accomodation for much longer, :j, it will be nice to go home, we've been out since the floods in November.
First wedding dress fitting was a hoot, I was measured before Christmas for the skirt so it should have fitted but then I started losing weight and exercising , I know scales wise I have lost 1st 5lb, so was interesting to see that the skirt fell right back off when it was put on!! So the alterations are begining, I had forgotten how lovely my dress is, it has been in my best friends wardrobe so my OH can't see it, and I just haven't looked at it since I bought it (again before Christmas!!).
Weight wise I was a STS last week and am STS this week, quite happy with that as have had stinking migraines this week and meals out last week, should get back on track this week, Hubby to be back at work and mates kids back at school!! Although might just feel the need to celebrate, DD has her last dose of chemo tomorrow then we start the long process of check ups so we will have our fingers crossed for quite some time yet.
Lots & lots of positive vibes for DD.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Eric_Pisch wrote: »looks the same imo as the slim fast **** (and the tesco meal substitute ****) ie there loaded with sugar (up to 40%...) and often have high fat
wow this stuff is even worse... 51% Sugar !!!! high sodium and 3.5% sat fat is high as well
there not healthy imo and are probably just a crutch for people looking for "the magic weight loss system" which does not exist.
you would be far better just eating healthy; low fat meats, lots of fruit and veg, lots of natural carbs (ie carbs that are not processed) and either calorie counting or following a system that makes doing this easier like WW, SW or Hardcombe.
try to avoid foods that activate the pleasure centre of the brain as they can cause addictive type behaviour (cheese, chocolate, high fat, refined sugars, caffeine).
I was on saturday studying slim fast for my module at the chemist and was  at the sugar content of the products:eek: my supervisor makes me laugh, she has normal foods then slimfast shake:eek: then slimfast bar:eek: then back to normal foods and then asks me what she is doing wrong as she does not seem to be able to shift the weight:rotfl::rotfl:
In my first module I got 100% the boss and others said congrats, well done, keep it up etc my supervisor asked me what I got, told her and no congrats etc she actually said ' uhm well, don't expect 100% on the other modules' now there is a nasty piece of work of a human being:rotfl: I rang my sis to test the reaction and immediately she said 'well done, that is fab considering you knew nothing about pharmacy etc well done 100%:D my OH reckons supervisor can't say anything nice and she is worried I will take her job, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

well done :T
some people are just professional a holes i am afraid0 -
Thank you, to some extent I can see what she means that the modules get harder as they go along so don't expect 100% each time and be disappointed, I can see what she means and where she is coming from but she is so cold and aggresive with it, I wanted to buzz with excitement for a bit when I got told, you know just smile and feel happy not have to come down with a thump so quickly for her nastiness:D:D0

Congrats Victory!
LOL about your supervisor having slimfast products in addition to her usual food and expecting to lose weight :rotfl:
Thanks for the kind words alliwantistosave & Beanie!
alliwantistosave - hopefully you'll get more used to the saddle but some are just horrible, I can't cycle for any great length of time on my son's mountain bike. Would it be worth £20-£25 or so to replace it with a nice comfy one?
I've got myself a new pedometer which is really fab, I think it may have been Granny (?) who mentioned on here ages ago her one counts 'aerobic steps' separately so I went for one like that, thanks for the tip!0 -
My aunty used to have slimfast then a whack of cheese then slimfast and she had the same problems no weight loss:rotfl:my supervisor is forever eating bananas, offering me one, then going out and buying a mayonnaise ladden sandwich, packet of crisps, sweets to go with it then snacks for the rest of the day on choc cake, whatever biscuits the people have brought in, toffees, etc then goes home and because her husband has the onset of diabetes has a 'healthy meal' then the rest of the evening is either lucozades for energy, slimfast shakes, sweets, crisps and biscuits and then she feels she is doing well because she had jelly for dessert:rotfl::rotfl: a right mish mash of a diet she has got:rotfl:
She also finds it hard to sleep so she is often infront of the fridge at 2am looking for something to eat or drink, she takes sleeping tablets but then has masses of lucozade!
We are not allowed to eat on the shop floor but I can't tell you how many times she goes to talk to the customers with a mouth full of food:rotfl:0 -
Well done Victory :T 100% is really good, and yes your supervisor is an *$$ just ignore her
Your modules may get harder but you have showed that they should have put you forward for the course.
Missy - I have brought a Gel saddle with bigger springs which is better but I think I am just going to have to do a little and often until it get used to itbut thank you for your advice
I have to agree I did think it was a little silly that my sister has her machine is upstairs on the middle floor but I am not going to coment. I thought she should have put it in the conservatory as I saw the foundations for that and they were very soild :rotfl:
I can say I have never touched slimfast and from what you have said I don't want to ever !! :eek:Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed
Need to loose 25lb / 3lb lost so far0
