A cheeky -1LB loss for me this week. A poor result considering my new-found SW planning but a loss is a loss and I'm not complaining.

Welcome to all the newbies!! :hello:

betty - made up a marinade of balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, lemon juice and chinese 5-spice in the end, family loved it so thanks for the tip!!:D as far as I can tell it was syn-free (on an EE day) tho I'm still struggling to get my head around the online food diary.

eric - I still think you should put someone's face on that thing!!

Where are you going north or south Devon ?? My area of the world :D

North Devon, half way between Bideford and Bude. Haven't been that far west in years so really looking forward to it, I love that part of the world. :D only thing putting off is getting down the pesky M5 on the first Saturday after the schools break up :(

    hey people!!

Im off to watch kings of leon in hyde park today. I cant actually be arsed though ha. Sounds bad i know, but i just wanna chill out, its gunna be hot and kings of leon dont start playing till half 8 which makes it awkward for getting the train home. Im getting old im sure, but motivation lacks when youre not in a group.

Eric: That thing looks insanely wierd. A bit like those dolls chavs have...or clowns.

    DMV: good luck!!

Well done on your loss, still good to see a loss when you haven't quite got Sw sorted yet. I haven't got the online diary but I've bought a new notepad so I can keep track of everything I eat even when I'm out and about and would usually forget.

Mmm your dinner sounds lovely. I think I have chinese 5 spice somewhere in the depths of my storecupboard, will have to dig it out!

    Hey guys,
Welcome to all newbies, and welcome back Seren, good luck with the wedding.

Eric - at least your loss this week isn't just 1lb, because I don't think I could have dared step into the thread if that had happened! I like the Eddie Izzard picture to motivate you on the cabinet... there's a guy to admire, but I loved him even before his marathon of marathons. I reckon we could get DMV into her boots, and then get you to chase her around... that'd get you some exercise, although I'm worried your heart rate might go through the roof!

Well, I'm having to post a STS this week, because some clever dickie here has moved the scales somewhere, and I can't find them. I suspect they're in the garage or shed somewhere, having been used to weigh who knows what? It's TOTM looming, so that's going to interfere next week, so I'm rather miffed to be honest, as I've been putting in much more effort this week.

Well, I can't hang around here, because my littlest lad has his sports day today, and he's demanded I get there and have a front row seat! he's in the space hopper race, and not expecting great results, and worrying he'll embarrass himself by falling off, but I've told him to have fun. He's also in the relay though, and his stint last year won it for his team, so I've encouraged him to do well in that, and enjoy the other one.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

It's been a few weeks since I posted on here - weight had been bouncing around the same level for many weeks.

Now, however, I'm down to 74.6 kg.

    That's 11 st 10 1/2 lb.

I don't know how long it is since I've weighed anything like that. Many years!

I don't go to Slimming World (nicknamed Fat Club by a friend who goes there). Or WeightWatchers, or anything like that. I do subscribe to https://www.weightlossresources.co.uk and I keep a food diary on their site.

I have a fitness programme of my own. This week, instead of going to the gym on Monday, I went to the over-50s aqua-aerobics at https://www.swimmingtales.co.uk Tuesday morning, adult beginners' swimming lesson. I've just been to the gym. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/se/rochford/hockley/health-clubs/cullys-ss54ad.html

Will go there tomorrow then back to the pool Friday for some swimming practice.

It seems to be working at last! I've actually lost a little over 5 kg since I started doing it seriously, May 2009. I shouldn't weigh much more than 8 stone for my height.
