Well I've taken the plunge and signed up for SW online (I have no time - or inclination - to join a local group) for £60-ish for 3 months. I have been filling in my online food diary for today but I can see its going to take time to get used to. Been trawling through the SW thread too so some useful tips on there. Today so far I've had

    B: Porridge & sliced banana
    S: 1 apple, 1 satsuma
L: Pasta in homemade tomato sauce, large mixed salad, LF yoghurt

.... and I feel absolutely stuffed. :o Planning a chicken stir fry with noodles for dinner using a packet sauce, so that's virtually all my syns gone for the day (porridge = 5, stir fry sauce = 9 ). Anyone know of a tangy sauce I can make just from store cupboard ingredients?

Right now my little lad is playing his guitar in a special school assembley where all the kids who are learning a musical instrument are showing off what they've learned to the parents. He has been practising really really hard and is really getting into it (after months of me nagging him to practice!) - OH is there with camera at the ready but I WANT TO BE THERE TOO!! (sob! sob!)

Ah sorry you can't be at his performance, but at least if you watch the vid he can watch you watching him!

good on you for signing up properly - I had a look at the online fees and it is way beyond my budget at the mo. So I'm doing it with an old book and a lot of forum research!

I tend to dress my stir fry with a 'sauce' made of garlic, ginger, red chilli, spring onion, and equal parts soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce (1.5 syns per tbsp) (i just throw it all in while cooking the meat and veg and then stir the cooked noodles through at the end so it's all coated)

ooh just a thought hezza another nice sauce but less spicy is juice from a squeezed orange, honey and soy sauce (syns for the honey though) - can't remember how many parts but I tend to just make it up as I go along til it tastes right! nice with turkey or chicken, esp if you marinade for a while first. (discovered this one when I was panicking about some of oranges that were on the verge of going off!)

Hello - new to this forum but time for me to post here! I'm getting really fat and it's time to do something about it! Decided I need to join a forum or something to spur me on, as my efforts on my own so far have not got me too far - my healthy eating and exercise plans only seem to last about 2 days.
I've grown too fat for most of my wardrobe so living in leggings :) Most of my weight goes to my belly, so that's my main area to target!

Welcome back Seren, missed you!!! :j How's life?

BettyB I'm never quite sure if I really like Ryvita, I seem to go through phases of eating 2 most days, then not touching it for weeks. I might get a pack of the multigrain ones for a change (tried them before but I usually stick to the original).

De1amo congratulations on reaching your target! :T Don't forget to switch over to the maintainers on the chart :D.

Welcome to the thread Kuromi, good luck with your weight loss. Do you know how much you want to lose?

Well... phew... I'm not long back from beating my 10K pb (which has stood for over a year) by a measly ONE second :rotfl:. Something tells me I've just about reached my limit there!

I'm a bit miffed today, ate a bit too much at the weekend so it doesnt look like I've lost any weight this week unless a miracle happens overnight! I'm absolutely shattered too. I'm going to hammer the exercise bike and go to bed shortly after 8pm when I finish work (from home). :-(
