hi Guys ,
I have been looking at some old threads and would like to join in if possible.
I have been recording what i eat /cook on the oldstyle thread.
I am doing Zest for life..which in summary seems to be a low GL
diet reducing carbs having protein with every meal having 3 smaller
meals and 2 snacks.adding some exercise daily.
This week I have tried to cut out Alcohol, red meat ,dairy, stimmlents,
and wheat......
I have had some slow success, (lost a stone),but feel that as these free sessions are coming to an end I need something still to replace it.
I have about 4 1/2 stone to lose and see that if I get there it will take a year.will have precise weight tomorrow.
regards to all0 -
a sts for me please Fred which i am quite pleased with after eating off piste for 2 days last week.
I've just been for my 1st swim of the week. Didn't do the 10 mins on the bike today but did 10 mins extra in the pool, totalling 1/2 hr. Again the only one in in. Enjoyed it.
I plan to go again on Friday.
Bought ginormous slice of watermelon on way home and just eaten a 3rd of it. Yum.

Finally a 1LB LOSS for me, and the extra inch that had appeared on waist and hips seems to be disappearing, now to carry on with the high fruit and veg content whilst the weather's nice for it.0

Well I must be lucky because my surgery runs a course called the 10% challenge. It's aim is for people to lose 10% of their body weight in 10 weeks. It is run by the NHS and it is free. It is part of the Change for Life programme. I have found it to be the best programme yet because I have learned a lot about different foods and excercise - I feel better educated now and knowledge is power. I am really chuffed it is free. Unlike weightwatchers, they do not sell slimming foods or books or indeed anything. it is great and I have met new friends. I recommend it. I have lost 8 pounds and it is week 8 tomorrow, which is good for me.0

Looks like feeling low and not 100% paying attention to what I am eating is paying it's toll. Onwards and upwards I guess

Hi all
We're back from the wedding, which went very well. The weather was perfect, so the ceremony was held in the garden of the venue, which had a wisteria covered walkway they used as an aisle - lovely!
I'm not going to weigh myself this week, but get back on track and hopefully find that I haven't done too much damage by this time next week.
Well done those who have lost this week and good luck to everyone else.

Evening all,
totally forgot to weigh in this morning, so I'll have to say STS. Far too sidetracked by children this morning; eldest had his 1st A'level today, 16 y/o has gone down with tonsilitis, and still has GCSE's to sit this week, and 2 younger boys who simply think singing is preferable to getting ready in the morning.... they have a point, I must admit.
Roadtrip up to Wakefield today, yesterday it was to south Herts. I was amazed at the local wildlife in Yorks. though, as I saw a camel grazing beside the road, and then 2 zebras!! I must admit there was a circus big top in the back of the field. Funny thing to see though. We took our own packed lunch, so it wasn't so bad foodwise, although getting back later than planned meant my dinner was a carb-fest. The fridge is getting low on provisions, so not much left in there.
Good luck on the losses guys, welcome to all newbies, and Eric, I hope you feel better by the end of the week for your appointment. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
