Having a day at home today, so flying is a must! I still need to fix this blinkin' dyson (grrrr!) so I can at least vacuum the house. Problem is, I have no idea how to put the part on, lol. QUOTE]

Have you tried the Dyson helpline? They are very helpful there should be a phone number on your appliance.

Sexymouse - hope you gave them what for - go girl!!!

83Rachel - Happy birthday to your DD.

Had a terrible night sleep DH has a very mild cold (he admits it's a terrible case of severe manflu) and is snoring all night long. This is when I wish we had a spare bedroom:(. He did have the good grace to do the school run this morning.

I'm about to book a week in Cornwall for last week in August. I know it's GCSE results for DS1 but they won't be worth staying home for:(. We have to be home for A level results as DD1 is on course for good results. She should get her grades but I know from past experience that being around at university clearing time is essential.

I've chased the GP re DD2's hair pulling and she has been guilt tripped into chasing my referral. I first took her to the doctors in mid January and it's nearly the end of March.

w/m whites on. washing on line. Ironing to do. DH tidied bedroom last night so I'll get going with today's list.

I'm going to go and wash up and then have a nap as we are going out this evening. Dinner is defrosting in the microwave, coq au vin, yum! Just need to cook some rice and veg and it's done! NIce and easy!

You lot make me feel tired with all you're doing - can I have some of your energy please?

Rose, wow - your sister is really talented!

Bad news: need to wear glasses
Good news: don't need to wear them all the time; just driving, looking at distance etc. Oh yes, and the frames are really nice too!

Just decluttered a bag of Maltesers with DH and rescued the chooks who had jumped up onto the wall and were shortly going to jump onto the pavement. Some little vandal pushed and broke our trellis and I hadn't realised, so they weren't as penned in as normal.

Have a good afternoon! I'm off out for a tea later at the local tea shop (also do yummy cakes!) but need to finish off tidying up the lounge too. Doing well so far. Also got to fetch DS from nursery later.

Hi all, just catching up with the thread and grabbing today's list.... I see we have tomorrow's as well; as I have to do more baking this pm, I may start on that also, see how I go.

Oh, before I forget, Happy Birthday to 83Rachel's DD.

Now, flying this week is going to be a challenge! I've never had a bathroom (or anything else come to that) completely refitted...I can't believe the mess & brick dust!! Its everywhere!! & as good as the plumber seems to be at his job, he has no idea of the concept of maybe wiping your wet shoes on one of the 2 mats I've got.. blooming wet mucky footprints everywhere!! I admit I've a bit of a problem with shoes indoors anyway, if I had my way everyone would take them off outside!
Much sympathy! When we had our bathroom refitted, I honestly thought I was going to have a complete mental breakdown!. Just keep telling yourself how lovely it'll be once it's finished......;)

Hope everyone's having a good day. OK, must Fly now........:rotfl:
