Morning everyone
I feel like a zombie this morning, had an awful night. Only up because I have to go to uni to hand in some work. I've put away the washing up from last night and deleted some emails but thats it.
Dusty RE was compulsory up to GCSE, then a choice, and then at ALevel we had compulsory 'general RE' which was more like a PSHE lesson IIRC, and RE as a choice. I think if it is a religious school they are more likely to have RE as compulsory? AFAIK there are a lot of schools were it is taught poorly, our teachers saw it as a bit of a waste of time I think. Hope this helps.
Sandy sorry your OH wasn't as supportive as he could have been, but you definitely aren't alone with all those flyladies hanging around York waiting for you!
Sexym hope your exit interview went well
Love to everyone

Soappie the holiday to Devon sounds lovely!
Hi Carol, how are you these days? Just seen you are feeling poorly, hope you are better soon xx
GTX, sorry things have been so bad for you, glad you are back with us
Sandy, I love York, it’s my favourite city so maybe I will come and gatecrash your new house when you move there! Sending you warm hugs xx
Welcome newbies
Mrs C, is there a new Kathy Reichs? Just seen your post about it. What’s it called, I will order it from the library
Sexy, I hope your interview went well. Glad it’s with the governor, not the head, so hopefully you will be able to speak more candidly
Wilf your son looks great in those pics, he looks so relaxed but in control of everything and like he knows exactly what he is doing (obviously I know he knows what he is doing, you know what I mean)
CallyC oh how lovely! Rosepink sweet peas! I’m glad someone named a flower after me!
Smartie, if your toe is that stinky, I’m glad you went to the docs, it obviously needs some help to heal
Dusty, your comment on RE made me think of a young boy we know. His RE teacher is an atheist! How can he teach the subject with enthusiasm and make it interesting if he thinks it’s codswallop?? We give the boy Bible lessons and he goes in to school and answers up a lot as he loves our lessons and remembers loads! It’s given him a lot of confidence actually as he feels he has something to share in class, it’s really lovely.
Love and hugs to Diva and Lady Liberty and Ishtar
This morning, I got up early as DH went to work early and I didn't drop off again after the alarm. I've done some gardening - my sister had a look at my unplanted bulbs y'day and said I need to plant the narcissus asap as they are sprouting. So I planted them in my pots and two in the ground. I planned to plant more in the ground but it's rock hard! I've also moved some lavender babies as I'd planted about 20 in one pot just so they were planted but they need more space now. I'd planned to plant a row along the wall but the ground is too hard so will get DH to bring a spade home so I can dig properly and loosen up the ground. I did plant one lavender in a gap in the hedge as I thought that might be nice when it's grown bigger.
I ache so much and i was only out there for 15 minutes!
The Tesco man came wiht my shopping so I will gradually put that away today.
I'm in the mood for taking pics and listing new items so need to make the most of it. My sister is coming in with me on the Etsy shop as she has been making some gorgeous crochet bags and jewellry, so I'm going to start listing her stuff. I've done some admin type things for that, and checked my emails - so exciting as a woman on one of the sites was advertising for stuff to put in a real life shop she is opening, and she really likes my things! She's got to check wiht the other people who own the shop with her, but I really hope I will get some items in to a real bricks and mortar shop! :j"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Sorry for such a long post!
I won't mention this again, but just want to double check, does anyone have any small cuddly toys or teddies they don't want - to give to orphan wild animals who are in hospital?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

It's a tough one. Do you think you'd have a chance, appealing against the decision? I'd consider the practicalities and maybe try to talk to parents/children who already go to the school.
Well i decided i am going to appeal, for my first choice school. I spoke to a few friends of mine who have children in the school i got allocated and it isnt what i want. So im keeping my fingers crossed!! He is on the waiting list now and from what ive heard in the playground today, there are some children who got allocated the school i want who didnt want it. So im hoping they will decline and then spaces become available without me needing to go through the appeals process.
Im going to try and not get too stressed about this!!!!:tongue:Mum to 2 cheeky boys2011 will be my year!!0 -
