I save £2 and 50p. The rest I spend unfortunately. I always try to give exact change and as I am trying to use markets etc, they are usually thankful for the change.

Small bits - ie under 5p ALWAYs are fed to my herd of debt cows... Once a week - generally Friday when I'm looking for 50ps to give the children their pocket money I also empty out ANYthing that isn't a £1, 50p to also put in the herd of debt cows. Any £2's that I get instantly go in the cows. This is emptied regularly and taken to the post office to be put in our 'holiday savings fund' Last deposit £15 !"A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. I do!
My mum bought me a coin sorter for Christmas last year so it sorts all the change nicely and counts it pretty well as well! I do double check it's counted properly though as the bank cashiers always look like they're laughing at you if the bag is only 98p instead of £1
I'd definately recommend putting a coin sorter on your Christmas list as it's soooooo much fun pressing the button and watching the coins go in their slots
**realises how sad I sound and goes to hide behind her stacks of 1ps**0
