My parents had thought of similar at their house with people turning, since the last person that did it took down part of their wall too. They had problems with people parking over the entrance to their drive too (as do I) but since we found out who was doing it, and had a quiet word (did mention a pick-up, a tow rope, and a large set of bull bars, and how I'd gladly leave their roller skate at the other end of the village) it's not really been an issue recently ;)

We had similar issues, especially during the school run periods, problem is as soon as you've persuaded one ignorant driver to desist, some other !!!!!!s doing the same, and next year it's a different load of parents:mad::mad:

Sorry, school run parking = pet hate, 1...2...3........ :A

i would fit one that sinks into its own hole, wait for someone to park in my drive, then raise the bollard, glue a huge notice on the screen and demand £250 to release the vehicle

And then wait whilst the burly skinhead whose car you've clamped gets unbelievably angry and kicks your head in.

    Great idea.

Thats as much use as a hole in the head. How would you raise and lower it to get a car into the drive Einstein.

Whether or not that particular bollard goes up and down (it doesn't), it remains that the price for one that does will be pretty much identical.
