I've spent many hours wears those, although usually white. Wonderful or horrible, depending on the situation. Wonderful when you have vomiting client or you get knocked into whilst carrying urine. Horrible in the summer when it's hot and you sweat underneath them. Actually I don't wear them anywhere near as much now as I don't do personal care any more.I can't believe people wear these at home for dishwashing etc. Often not comfortable. Often hot. Hardly cheap and certainly not environmentally friendly.
At times it's felt like I've lived in aprons as I've worn these at work and then household aprons at home. I'm still in the habit of the latter, possibly due to forced habits of the former.0 -
Yes I love to use kitchen aprons when I use to make food and cleaning my kitchen.
Kitchen apron for women prevent cloths from coming into direct contact with any "splasts" and "spillages" that are bound to happen whilst doing any cooking or baking.0 -
I were one all the time I am cooking cleaning.
I would love to get a pattern for an old fashioned crossover one tho lolI have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar0 -
I ordered a special white butcher style apron with "Mrs Icey" embroidered on it for my wedding day ... I couldn't trust myself not to spill food all over myself and my beautiful wedding dress at the lunch!!!
My friend copied the idea a year later on her wedding day
It's now my baking apron and I wear it more often than not, if I forget its usually at the cost of my clothes which are covered in flour, cake mix and eggy finger marksWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
I used to walk around with a tea towel stuck in my waistband when cooking (as I wash / dry my hands so much!) - I did try an apron but it's not really me
So .... I bought a pack of 4 microfibre tea towels from £stretcher, and sewed some ribbon on each side (long side) and I can now tie one round my waist .... so much easier! (and as there are 4 of them, it's easy to use once / throw in the WM and there's still one there for next time!)

So, aprons aren't really "you," but you've made yourself... some aprons :rotfl:
Incidentally, I recommend Ulster Weavers0
