I might buy one for the OH as he does most of the cooking etc although I have a PA come in and she does baking occasionally for me. His face would be a picture giving him a pinny. :-)To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

I have a Yorkshire Tea one I got a couple of years ago for sending in points from the packet of tea. I wear it all the time. Definitely feel more productive in it:happylove0

I was brought up in a pinnied household. I always had to wear one when eating and my grandmother always wore a cross-over pinny for working and a prettier one in the afternoons, but she always took it off before she watched TV. We could never convince her that the people on the screen couldn't see her.
I have various pinnies now that I even remember to wear sometimes. More often than not I forget all about them until I've finished working or cooking. This would explain why I have very few decent 'going out' clothes but a vast wardrobe of indelibly stained or bleached sweatshirts, blouses, jumpers etc.
It takes me ages to decide what to wear for cleaning the car or creosoting the fence.

I wear them when I cook and clean.
I buy them at thrift shops and sometimes will pay the $$$ that "regular" stores sell them for.
I remember making one for my first sewing project at school. Worst sewing experience ever.0 -
I own two aprons (one I picked up on the streets for free, and one from poundland lol! they look very fancy no-one will know) but I never wear them:p
I don't tend to get splatters on the front of my clothes but catch my sleeves in sauce sometimes. My late mother used to make these armbands/sleeve protectors out of scrap fabric, to be used when cooking and cleaning. Maybe I should do that
I don't know what they're called in English, it's this shape but made out of fabric.0 -
I always had to wear one when eating
I need a full body suit when I eat, a pinny is just not big enough :rotfl:

I havn't worn an apron since I was a kid, unless you count the blue disposable ones I have to wear when I am doing personal care at work. I was thinking about this the other day, I am interested in learning to sew and got given a free pattern for an apron. I will try and make it when I can afford a sewing machine, but I am not sure how much wear it will get!0
