what you can change at the bottom Fran is threads not pages...............you can also go into cp user and change the options there as to how many posts you want to show per page/screen


What she is saying is that Techie had more than one page and the others have disappearred...................I can only see one page.

Other boards have varying amounts of pages,new boards obviously only have say one page .........................but didn't the techie have loads of pages before the move

The techie board has 29 pages!

If you increase the amount of threads you see, then logically you increase the amount of pages.

This can be changed in "display options" at the bottom of the thread. Perhaps you have to choose yourself for each board, I dunno.

ok sorted,my apologies Fran ,you were partly right.



Changing the amount of threads at the bottom made no differance at all but this could be happening to other users as well,like Lady K

If I set the 'Default thread age cut off' to 'use forum default' the boards all look normal with pages all visible except Techie board,which only shows one page.

If I change it to 'show all threads' ...................all 20 odd pages are there.

So Lady K may be doing the same as I did,but it can only be put right by going into the user cp.

Does that make sense:)

No, I am not partly right but fully right! (I'll await your grovelling apology in the morning!!:D) If you go to display options and only set it to show "one day" on Techie Board (as the example you've already used), you only see one page. You need to click on "show threads" to make the change. The more you increase the time, the more threads you'll see, and you know what threads mean? Threads means pages. Pages means posters and posters means bluetack! Got it now?!!

Hi,

just thought I'd leave this request before I'm called down to dinner so I haven't had time to read all of the previous.

When you hover over a listing I get the box come up to give me an ouitline of the content of the thread.

Sometimes it's all across the screen other times it isn't large enough to contain more than the first few lines but (Almost) always it disappears before I have tim eto read all of the content.

Is it just me??

Incidentally, Martin, The site appears to be much more useable now. Very impressive. Should be brilliant when all finished.

Also want to say congrats on the start of the best site on the WWW for me.
