You could give some trusted users permission to edit it - e.g. I'm sure there are users who make it their business to know in advance when a shop’s going to have a sale, eBay free listing days, or other important financial deadlines.
You could have a prominent link on the main site and give people who don't use the forum a reason to visit more often as they can find out this week's moneysaving
this is a brilliant idea0 -
At the top of the "Money Saving subjects" board is says "Money Saving subjects - ask or answer questions or start a discussion here".
This is too long and is confusing as it wraps onto two lines. Can we shorten it?0 -
New GRAB IT - RELATED DISCUSSIONS/CONSUMER BOARD please, that Martin KNOWS he wants to start immediately under the Grab It Board.
(Immediately as in directly, not as in straight away...if you know what I mean, lol.)
I've even volunteered to help out on it, in advance.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Can we turn "Use Secure Email Sending" on?
Right now, if someone has selected Receive Email from Other Members in their options, it means their email address is available to everyone - which is why a lot of members don't use it.
But it doesn't have to be that way. If Secure Email Sending is switched on, people don't get to see your email address - instead they get an email message-form that sends the message but hides the recipients address
very useful if you know the member won't be able to view the forum but will be looking at their email - and might make up for such tiny pm boxes0 -
Could we have the rude word censor tinkered with so we can write ****tail, S****horpe and Weigh****chers please.0

Please can we have the "Thank you" hack installed? It helps general politeness.

I like the idea of a thank you hack - definitely worth a tryMartin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.
