lol yeah,
but nah on a serious note. if you want an easy £250... i'd do it.
Easy £250?
Have you actually read the donation procedure?
You need to make an appointment with your GP, have blood tests, visit a local centre at least twice a week over a 3-4 month period. Sorry but that doesn't sound like an easy £250.0 -

We must have read different pages then, because I did not read it the same as you.
It says you MAY be asked to see your own doctor
The blood is taken when you make the donation
You will be asked to visit a centre 2 - 3 times per week for 3 - 4 months, making a donation each time and getting compensated up to £250 each time.
I make that up to 3 * 4 * 4 * £250 = £12,000 for 48 w*nks.0 -

Same here, and I'd want to know what my baby would look like. They could pay me a million pounds and I wouldn't do it.0 -

.. providing your loss of earnings that particular day is equivalent to £250 quid of course.
For an average salary of £1,000 a month before tax, that would equate to £50 quid per day for 4 working weeks.
So it's much more likely that a person doing this would be compensated to around £50 quid.Same here, and I'd want to know what my baby would look like. They could pay me a million pounds and I wouldn't do it.
You must be particularly wealthy if you'd turn down a million pounds for something so simple. Anyway your perspective is obviously going to be different ..0 -
Sperm donor must pay maintenance
A Swedish man who donated sperm to a lesbian couple has been ordered to pay child support for their three children.
In the early 1990s the man, now 39, donated his sperm to a woman in a lesbian relationship. She had three sons, the oldest of whom is now 13 years old.
Although the man signed a document confirming he was the biological father of the children, he told the court the women agreed he would not be involved in their upbringing in any way.
But when the women separated, the biological mother of the three boys demanded child support payments from the man.
He went to court but lost the case and the subsequent appeal before taking the matter to the Supreme Court, the highest appeals court in the country.
The Supreme Court has confirmed the earlier rulings, stating that the biological father is required to pay child support to the mother of the three children he indirectly fathered.
In today's litigious society, I really wouldn't take the chance.0 -

He may well have signed a document confirming he was the father, but i'd say it's highly doubtful he signed anything else because there appears to have been nothing more than a verbal agreement that he would not be involved.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense in that situation would make sure any contract had all the bases covered and didn't rely on shaking hands over things.0 -

You need to do more reading, loss of earnings is up to £55 per day and the rest, £195 is for "other expenses"jasonwatkins wrote: »For an average salary of £1,000 a month before tax, that would equate to £50 quid per day for 4 working weeks.
Yes but you also get expenses up to a total of £250, including the £55 for loss of earnings.jasonwatkins wrote: »So it's much more likely that a person doing this would be compensated to around £50 quid.
No, you need to read it again, if you ever did read it. I suspect you just saw "£250 per day" and somewhere else "loss or earning", then you put two and two together and made five. Then saw your chance to jump in and prove you can add up by showing the average person only earns £50 per day.
I'll give you 10/10 for your maths, but your reading really needs a lot more work.0 -

But the difference is he did it by a private agreement with the women, doing it via a donor agency it totally different.A spokesman for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority said that men who donated sperm through licensed fertility clinics were not the legal fathers of any children born as a result. “Men giving out their sperm in any other way, such as via internet arrangements, are legally the father of any children born, with all the responsibilities that carries,” he added.
