Also, something like this should not be done for money. There are couples all over the world who would do anything for someone to donate their eggs or sperm to them.
I just don't understand that? Who do you think is paying for the sperm, and who do you think is getting it, couples with fifteen kids?
It's the couples who would do anything for an egg/sperm donation that are paying for the donations. If they didn't pay they wouldn't get them.0 -

I was going to do sperm donation, but I was put off when I heard you have to work a week in hand.0

I doubt i'll get a straight answer, but why is it when a thread like this appears, everyone instantly assumes they've got a sideline in stand up comedy ?
Are we that incapable of talking about it like grownups ?0 -
I could never do this, I would constantly be wondering if I have a genetic child somewhere out there, I think it would drive me crazy!0

as well as the moral implication, I think it looks like a lot of hard work having to get checked out by your doctor and not have sex for 5 days LOL:beer:0

Technically it is illegal to be paid for Sperm Donation, what you can claim is for loss of earnings whilst you were donating, so I can hardly see how someone will be able to make money out of this as how do you prove what your loss of earnings were & the expenses you have paid out, as I see it you would more or less just about break even0

Loss of earnings. You go on your day off/pull a sicky, show your pay slip and they work out what you have lost in a days pay.
Expenses. You get a taxi, give the driver a fiver tip and ask him for a blank receipt. Or, as many taxi drivers have the receipt printed on the back of their cards, you just ask for a few cards to give to work colleagues.
Of course, that is only if they ask you for proof of expenses and loss of earnings. They may just ask you to put them on a form without providing any proof at all.0 -
How much do you make?
I'm not sure, but I think it's somewhere beteewn £55-£250 every time you donate your sperm or egg.
I may have read the wrong bit, but on the site it says...
Additionally, you can also claim compensation for loss of earnings up to a daily maximum of £55.19, with an overall maximum
of £250 per cycle of egg donation.'
Has the OP got abit confused with the above?0 -
