hi, yes i am a new customer only took it out when i read this thread. my mum has been with sky for years and never gets any good deals either i agree with you that its not fair as loyal customers should get good deals too.

Thank you sooooo much for this, we have just got, Free HD box, free installation, Free subs for 12 months, plus changed to sky broadband package - unlimited downloads etc free for 6 months, thereafter £10.00 per month, also took out the SKYTALK package with £11.00 per month line rental plus free unlimited calls any time of day for 6 months, thereafter £5.00 per month.

Thats what we do as we never get a good deal, so i cancel, then start again in partners name 12 months later he cancels and we start again in my name, as long as you havent had an account for 12 months your considered a new customer.

just got free sky+box HD & 12months free HD subscription (even though not got HD tv yet - can still use the box)

mind you, we have been using an original sky box installed years ago, engineer was brilliant, arrived exactly on time & gave us a new dish/cabling too

I have to say, this all got offered on the day we cancelled the SKy sports subscription....................................

Last year when my Mum took out Skytalk she enquired upon Sky+ and was put off by the lottery numbers she was quoted to get it installed. She's had a bog standard Sky box for 20 years.

So I came accross this topic and decided to go around to her house today and ring for her. I rang the number listed in this topic pressed 0 and got through to a nice lady at Sky sales.

I then explained to her about the phone call we missed (ahem!) regarding Free HD+ box, installation and 12 month HD Subscription. She said it was happening pretty often. I explained it was my Mums account so she asked to speakj to her and after the account security questions I then took over. She even set up and account password so I can ring on behalf of my Mum in future.

So to cut a long story short my Mum is now booked in for an installation next Monday (29th)

So from having bog standard Sky my Mum will have Sky HD+ for free for 12 months.

We watch sky as we still have it but in my patners name. We have different surnames.

there is no wait! wife holds contract year 1, cancels her contract. husband then orders sky, in his name, and has contract for 12 months. he cancels and then wife orders sky, as new customer, for another 12 month contract. and so on...
that way, you get all the best deals that get offered to new customers.
