I know makeup isn't on the capsule list Hypno, but I know I'm planning a reassessment of what I use/buy. I'm probably going to try some of those free makeup things in department stores. Just wondered if it's something you're thinking about too.

Currently I'm using up what I've got, but soon will be ready to experiment a little more with the new look.

I think it's a bit like the capsule wardrobe, not to impulse buy, and get the right things I know I will use all the time.

I did get rid of my old makeup when I did my declutter at the end of last year/beginning of this. I know that the 80s retro look is in, but I didn't really think my electric blue mascara circa 1984 really ought to make an appearance!!

So, my makeup bag is back to basics, and I am gradually working out what I really do need, and what would just be a waste of space and money, and am replacing things accordingly and slowly!

I have to say I take about as much notice of use by dates for make up as I do for food :o

I like coming on here - I feel so at home :rotfl:

I borrowed a Clinique blusher the other day - loved it. Am going to treat myself - either buy with cash or use Boots points - don't know what would be most painful :o

We welcome you in your slumminess, gallygirl :rotfl:

I hate "spending" my boots points - they take ages to build up then they are gone in seconds

I save mine for things for ME - it makes it seem like a huge big treat then, although mostly I buy moisturiser, which isn't so much a treat but a necessity to stop my skin looking like a rhinos'
