I was told by a food technologist that was rubbish KC, as long as you're not doing it with previously cooked food you've cooked again (e.g. roast lamb that you then froze then used as shepherds pie - that shouldn't be reheated again).
Sorry if that's taken a bit of excitement out of your life :rotfl:
Pah to clocks going forward but :T to longer nights
Erm .... apart from being a vegetarian, isn't that what I'm doing? Eg, using frozen spinach and making two portions of whatever I'm using it in, sticking the 2nd portion in the fridge, and heating it again the next day? where's the confused and worried smiley when you need it? :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

No, because the spinach was raw when you cooked it for the first time. So you're only reheating once, with my example you are reheating twice.
Can we start a campaign to reinstate the roll eyes & confused smileys "insert confused smiley here"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Im with you on the sell by dates hypno. My oh has a nasty habit of looking for the date on everything in the b****y fridge!! If it smells ok chances are it IS ok. Hope youre sleeping better despite losing the hour.
My OH is exactly the same! If its ood, its in the bin, even if its fine! So now as much as possible comes out of the packaging so he can't see the dates
I work on the sniff test too.... never had a problem yet

There must be a huge amount wasted due to people throwing things out based on sell by dates.
On the other hand, if we had no sell by dates, there would be no yellow stickered stuff in the supermarkets for us bargain hunters!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Don't they reckon it's about £300 per family, per year?
That's a lot. And Gordon Brown said we should all try to reduce it to save money, and the papers reported it like he was mad. Please call me 'Pickle'

Phew! Okay, I can do without that excitement! Thanks gallygirl! I agree with the campaign too. OTOH, its quite fun to see what people do instead :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Don't matched bet with a frazzled brain.....
Due to not paying attention, I fluffed a qualifier - should come out more or less evens by the end of the day, but silly schoolgirl error means no profit from it.

I know in the past I've heard figures of between 25 and 30% of all food sold goes in the bin.
I thought I was good in the past, but the experience of Swiss prices had made me even more careful. I'm sure I'll spend less when I get back.
The other thing is portion sizes, some of them are ridiculously big for single portions, so companies are promoting people either overeating or throwing the excess away. e.g. Here a pack of fresh spinach and ricotta tortellini single serving, was plenty for the two of us with a side salad.0 -

Whoops! I'm glad the consequences weren't too dreadful - work on the frazzlingness, okay? :grouphug:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I think with matched betting most people have a problem at some point. I know when we tried, we made a mistake once, fortunately it played through OK, we thought we got it laid properly, but had missed something. Pleased to hear it wasn't too costly.0
