Well we leave here on the 30th of next month, and have only got airline weight allowance, so got to use up as much as possible as it won't be worth paying excess baggage for taking back food or lots of toiletries etc..
So got to use everything up, but then balancing it against losing weight, I know when we came out using stuff up in the rental cottage wasn't too good calorie/healthy eating wise.
Dietwise, I think I'll start doing a food diary tomorrow, I've tried it in the past and it does work, as long as you list absolutely everything. Ideally would weigh things, but no scales here.
Managed the power walk route today, the sun came out for a while and it was really niceWill extend it hopefully next time.
If you are topping up with fruit/veg do you have a Aldi/Lidl near work Hypno, when OH was made redundant, once a fortnight we topped up with whatever was their mega specials. We eat lots of vege's, it made a dramatic difference to our food budget. Admittedly we went weekdays when OH went to sign on, so it might be like Tesco's shopping online, where it's worth taking the hit to save time.
On the ironing front do DS & DD do their own? Maybe I was a nasty mother, but mine definitely did their's except for odd occasions/special items from when it was safe to delegate. You're working full time, so it's ok to delegate, and it makes them more independent.
When I was english language intensive tutoring at home with homestay language students swopping on Saturdays , the weekly mega house clean was a couple of hours on Saturday morning, when everyone mucked in, with everyone joining in it was very quick. Is there a time when you could do something like this. OK I always did the bathrooms and kitchen, but bed's stripped and remade, dusting and vacuuming the house from top to bottom, is ok for everyone to join in. I had a drawer in each bedroom, where the fresh bed linen for that room was placed after washing, it really worked well, as they always knew where the clean sheets were etc, for the quick changeover.
Sorry if it's too many ideas at once, and I don't really know what you're doing already. Just trying to be helpful.0 -
Hi se - I log everything that I eat. CAn't keep a spending diary to save my life but can keep a food one - daft really!
The children do their own ironing, and DD is sometimes happy to be bribed to do more. Generally, though, now OH is not here and I don't have piles of his stuff about, there is very little - but days like today where I have work blouses etc that need a bit of time spent on them, crop up every now and again!
Again, the house isn't so bad, and I am managing to keep on top of it a lot more now there is just me and the children. They muck in when asked, so I can't complain - they are generally quite good, although when I went to get DDs washing from her room, I could see why we have a shortage of crockery downstairs at the moment!!
Mystery shop input, and another couple of things crossed off my list. Half time in the football so another whizz round for a few mins before more coffee.....(decaf of course, otherwise I will never ever sleep!).Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I think it prob took me about 6 weeks too before I felt ready to take the plunge. The people on the newbies thread on GIOL are pretty good, so ask them anything you like - they are always happy to check things for you, but will also tell you if you are not ready to start yet!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I'm on decaf normally, have you tried the tesco's own brand decaf, it's not bad and a lot cheaper than most.0

Sally, I'm with you - I don't need to learn to understand it, but I do need to relearn it - Hypno and Benben are doing reloads, but I just don't have the confidence. Bring it on!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

se, I have kenco - generally stock up on it when it is on offer, which it usually is in one supermarket or another! I've tried own brands, but always go back to Kenco or Gold Blend. Even some of the other "big" brands don't taste as good as Kenco!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
