If they do, Hypno, surely they'll give a date a little while in the future, not next month? I know they did HIPs straight away, but CB is too important to too many people ..... here's hoping, anyway. You *can* do it. OH can make up some of the shortfall too, it shouldn't all fall on you, and he's fair around the kids, I'm sure he'll chip in to that.
Its back to severe budgetting, I guess. I'm a bit worried about the 22nd myself, no idea what kind of cuts we're in for.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

All ball watchers will be made very welcome! It is definitely my "make or break" thing at the moment, and I am determined to be "make" rather than "break".....!
KC, I am sure it won't be an instant thing, but even if it is 6 months time, it is something I was otherwise relying on, and will have to absorb, and on a day to day finances basis, nothing else will cover it, so I need to make plans and act seriously on them now.
As for OH, he doesn't have that slack in his budget any more than I do in mine, so again, I have to work on the worst case scenario, unfortunately, regardless of what may or may not seem fair from the outside.
benben - yes, I suppose those extra few hours awake and driving have probably been responsible for my munchies! I will therefore declare now, that I will not fret if the scales show an increase this week. I will look at the bigger picture, and acknowledge that I am still very much on the right path.

Not unless it were absolutely necessary. The children and I need to be "us" for now, and the potential stresses of having someone share our house, and for us to have the additional responsibility, would be counterproductive right now I think.
It is there as an option if we really need, but I feel quite strongly that we need to make this work as we are for the longer term, if that makes sense!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. It does make sense.

Of course it makes sense. There's an element there of cutting the cloth to fit, sort of. Here's hoping for you.
I think I'd better go to bed - my sentences are tailing off rather abruptly even in my headnight night.

Monday morning - and a few more hours' sleep would not have gone amiss!
The windows are being done today, so hopefully I will return home from work to a much brighter house!
Scratching and banking is first on the list, though - so off to see if anyone has deposited a large sum of money in my account....ah well, a girl can hope!

Needless to say, no one has deposited large sums of cash in my bank account, although I did get £1 on a scratch, so its not all bad.
Except - I did a BT away from my virgin card as the 0% runs out this month......so the balance on that card is now nil as the BT has gone through in good time.
So, why oh why do they think they can take the normal monthly payment, today, of £25 as well!!!!! So, now I have a positive balance on my CC which will take ages to get refunded, and in the meantime, my bank account is down by £25 a week before payday which is not the best time to be "out" as far as money is concerned!
aaarrrggghhhh!
Anyway, it does, again, remind me that the line is a fine one, and that I have to be able to absorb these things, both on a financial basis, ie don't be so close to the wire each month, and on an energy basis, ie don't stress too much when these things happen!
I am spending this week having a serious look at the figures - I made a good start last night, but I was tired, and need to have another look with a clear head at the way forward.
Never ending!!!!
