the things we do for kids...hope you have a good day and well done on the win.0

I'm home - feels much later than 4.20pm though! The traffic was clear on the way down, so we flew through, but on the way home was very busy and therefore took us twice as long....v tired and much coffee consumed, so hopefully it won't keep me awake tonight!
We've taken the blinds down, so just need to clear the windowsills and we are ready for the new windows tomorrow.
Tonight I am going to do very little except some number crunching and brainstorming about future finances. It is bothering me, especially with talk that child benefit may cease for children over the age of 13 if you earn more than an average amount of money.....that could make a big difference to my finances and I need look at what I can do to offset it NOW rather than panic if/when it kicks in.

Bet you can't wait for the new windows..you have waited so long so far...
Good idea about crunching numbers...I thought I read it was going to be stopped for all children over 13 and wasn't anything to do with income...I .must've read it wrong.0 -
22nd June, Lucielle - the figures mentioned are that any family earning a total of over £32k would lose CHB for over 13s.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

June 22nd. Shortest night. Seemed longer to me as I was in labour with DD.

So, I have been brainstorming and number crunching and have now gotten myself surrounded by pages of possible scenarios.
The key, however, is simple......DISCIPLINE.
I CAN do this, I know I can. I just have to DO IT! It's not rocket science - it is simple MSE stuff:
- check figures every day
- meal plan
- budget
- leave methods of spending at home
- be organised
- cut back on impulse buys, however small they may be
- take lunch to work
- utilise what food is already in the house
etc etc etc
So, starting now, I am well and truly keeping my eye on the ball. Which is more than Robert Greene did last nightI WILL get there. I HAVE to.

Yes, you certainly will. If you can lose 2 stones and pay off squillions - this will be a walk in the park0
