Have a good weekend and yay to the windows being done on monday.
  • Hi Hypno,

If you're like me, you'll feel so much joy when the windows are done - just had mine done, many were rotten and I had to save hard for quite a few years to afford replacing them. Big investment but is helping maintain the value of the house. And so good for my morale, too. Now it feels so good to know the house is weatherproof, there is no painting to be done and a 10 year guarantee. Like you I went for a local company, who were excellent.

Hopefully you'll be so glad to get them done despite the expense - some spends are so worth it!

Ah, windows... the ones on our 9th floor flat are due to be replaced very soon: it would have been done by now if someone hadn't decided to nick the cables connecting the generator to the cradles that go up and down the tower block so the guys can do the work....

Anyroad, hope all is well, wherever you are.

Have had a really nice day - went bowling and had fun, then to the pub before spending the evening watching the match with a friend. Spent very little throughout the day, which was a nice surprise, and won the pub sweepstake on first goalscorer so came away from there with more money than I went with.

So.....off to bed now and to set my alarm for 4am.....need to leave at 4.30.....looking forward to that.....not!!

I went to sleep at 9pm and woke bright eyed at 3.45am......so I'm awake at silly o'clock too. I'll be going back to bed once I know I'm not missing anything. Have a good day yourself x
