I honestly don't think I've lost any this week, but there shouldn't be too much damage to repair next week, so that will do me at this stage. Those last few lbs are always the hardest to lose! I have been exercising more since I got my treadmill, but as my marathon efforts show, for me it doesn't necessarily show up on the scales, even though my fitness must be improving.

I have celebrated my sub £10k status with a latte......I know how to have fun :rotfl:

Pippa there is never a wrong time for cake :D

Have brought in lunch again today - I really have no chance of getting the debt down any further if I take my eye off the ball again. In April/May I spent too much - no two ways about it. Yes, I had my bonus come in, but there has been a lot of money spent. I know that a lot of it was to do with getting the house/garden so that I feel comfortable there, which is very important as a family, and more has been spent on getting "me" sorted a bit, with clothes, hair cut, new bedding etc, but even so, the fact is that I cannot continue in that manner. There simply is not the money available now to do so.

So, figures are done for June, I have no room for manoevre, but I think that is a good thing, because it will keep me focused. I have done my monthly shop, and the cupboards are full, as is the freezer, so hopefully just a few ££ on top up shops for fresh fruit/milk etc will be needed for the rest of the month.

DD has her 16th birthday in a couple of weeks which will involve some cost, of course, but as I have already bought her dress for the prom, that forms her main spend, and I have got and paid for tickets already to go to the races and see the X factor finalists on her birthday which she is more than happy about. If we take a picnic, we can keep the cost down there too.

I am off to see Keane next week - again, tickets booked and paid for months ago, with a few girlfriends, so that will be a fun evening - hope the weather holds, as it is in the forest.

My biggest expense is going to be petrol - we have races every weekend now until the end of the summer, I think, so I need to try and arrange some lift sharing. In any event, my picnicking skills will be coming to the fore as I try and keep the food costs down for all these things!

Then, July brings the MOT for the car.....never ending! I would hope that not much is needed, but the car is now 8 years old so every year that goes by is more likely to cost money. We shall just have to keep our fingers crossed on that one!

And as yet, I haven't booked anything for Christmas. Not sure if I can afford it, justify it, whatever. I also know that I am just "running away" from things by doing so. Much thought needed there and I really don't yet know what we will do.

So - as you can see - I really do need to keep my head down, and focused. I am making June the month that I take real control, as I really feel that this is a "typical" month for us as a family, and I need to know that we can do this month in, month out.

Ms Hypno, I hope your latte tasted like nectar because you very much deserve it.

For us recent converts - when did you have your LBM and how much - I know circumstances have changed since then but all the same - you should shout from the rooftops where you started from!

As for 'running away' for Christmas, is that wrong. Many people do it for their entire lives

Good luck with WI - have you also signed up for online 'stuff' to allow you to track etc!

    Enough questions!

    Happy Day!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
