Our bodies still consider stress in terms of "fight or flight" so they look for the appropriate fast fuel. They say that if you go for complex carbs - wholemeals, brown rice - they burn more slowly and you don't "crash". Also, it is said that if you can remember to have something to eat more frequently, this may well result in stress reduction because you aren't panicking over where your next meal is coming from, as well as fretting over everything else!
The thing is I am resorting to sugar and biscuits. I have managed to avoid it tonight and gone for a homemade zero point soup with a swirl of yoghurt. I think eating all the cr*p is starting to affect me - a veges always gets me back on track and I'll make sure I have porrdge tomorrow for breakfast.Ooh the wedding is creeping up urg - even though you are feeling stressy now, and have had a lot to deal with over the last few weeks, I am sure you will have a fantastic time, and the week away will do you good.
Good luck with the big meeting at work x
Meeting at work went quite well - my manager was really happy with the outcome and impressed with my work. I think all of the stress got on top of me tonight. Going to crawl into bed with a hot water bottle shortly.
I have got myself back into a bit of debt for the wedding but I was expecting. Will be back on DF wagon post honeymoon!

Not long to the wedding urg - enjoy the day and relax...................

Finally finishing up my prep for tomorrow - my printer doesn't want to print a word document, although strangely it will print from the internet, so it is connected....hmmm...anyway, have found a way round it, which will have to do, so once it finishes spewing out quick reference guides to Indian Head Massage and the Chakras, I will be off to bed.
milann, I am sure the weather will be fab by the time you go.

And, I have been offered a nearly new washing machine to replace mine that is more than temperamental, and which requires draining manually after each load......it will cost me £80 which is much cheaper than a new one, and no more expensive than calling out an engineer to try and fix my (much) older one
All in all a good day! Hope it has been good for all of you x
Pity you are not Freecycling where I live as someone has offered a Bosch washing machine this morning - works fine but bit temperamental when taking the conditioner apparently!!! Hope you are well and good luck for the teaching.0 -
Morning - we are all coming down with colds here, so DD is feeling bleurgh, I am very heavy headed with a lovely runny nose....bah! At least DD will hopefully get hers mainly out of the way before the bulk of her GCSEs.
I have got an hour or so before I go off to teach, and am looking forward to the workshop today, which is good. I've also got lunch sorted so won't be tempted to go above points today, thereby staying on track as far as WW is concerned.
Scratching and banking to do next, and then shower and breakfast and turning myself into someone who looks like she knows what she is doing!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
