:T That new sig really is amazing, and you are overpaying on the mortgage too! I hadn't realised that.
Have you heard how much your bonus is yet - not being nosey- just wondering if they have definately confirmed them - I know you are so keen to pay back your mum.

Shaun, I always read for half an hour or so before I turn off my light......it is just the "stuff" going on that keeps me awake. It'll settle, and it is improving slowly.
Verbatim, Quote for windows is being done this evening. It really is a "need" rather than a "want" at this stage, unfortunately, so I will have to move it up the priority list.
pippa, no idea on the bonus yet - just hope it is enough to pay back mum! Otherwise, I might be in bother
Today's news is that I saw the Queen.....she came to the Cathedral, and as my boss is a "dignitry" (sp?) I got the opportunity to nip along.....I didn't realise how tiny she is! She obviously has the benefit of people cooking her lots of lovely healthy foods on a budget of rather more than mine
Other than that, nothing to report.......still within points for the day. Hoping that the scales are feeling kind to me tomorrow and at least show a half pound off!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Afternoon - just played for a funeral (and got paid) an old lady of 95 who we knew. Luckily work are fairly flexible about having time off - mind you I work lots of excess time I don;t get paid for so they can't complain really.
Weighed myself yesterday and have lost a total of 10lbs plus 2 inches off waist, bust and tummy so feeling much happier about things.
DS had a good time at Newstead Park but it took him 7 hours to get frim Nottingham to Swansea by train so not a happy bunny !!!
Right off to do next things on list - have a good afternoon0 -
Good going on that sig...and good luck with the windows and hope you get a good price.0

Royalty meets royalty - bet Queenie was thinking "there's that Hypno, she could teach my lot a thing or two about saving money!"0

Well, I think I have the world record for the fasted window-measure in the world.
No hard sell, no "special offer if you sign up today"......just a good honest guy who listened to what I want, measured up, told me what I could get away with "not" having in order to keep the cost down.....and all done in half an hourThe quote will be sent tomorrow, itemised for each window, so I can choose whether I get some or all of them done, based on cost.
I would recommend him based just on the initial visit! I was expecting to be sitting here trying to get rid at 11pm!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Sounds good! We had someone similar last year who totted it up quickly and was £1200 cheaper than the quote we got last month
When are you getting them done?0 -
It will depend on cost, my bonus, what my plans are for this place given that I didn't want to stay here but might have to stay here, or that if I sell I want a quick sale so I can move somewhere that is "mine" not "ours" etc etc - there are a lot of variables still, emotional as well as financial and practicalSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Aw, I understand and hugs to you. But on a positive, to think that as a sole wage earner you can pay off your debt, pay a substantial mortgage and consider putting in new windows and moving....... is quite formidable :A0

Lovely new shiny signature there Hypno
How nice having a non pushy window salesman, new windows will make a lovely difference to the house. At least you have the option of replacing them one by one if you need to as well.
