Typical bank holiday weather - it is not enough for it to be freezing cold.....now it is hailing

I think we have swapped weather. :rotfl: Last week (wk before?) when everyone was getting sunburn down south it was freezing (~9degC max) and rubbish weather here - we had frost overnight one of the days. It is sunny (but not very warm) here now.

Pippajo - well done your DS! :T

I wouldn't be too sure taxi!

Have been to the shop for milk and managed to get some nice reduced pork chops which have gone in the freezer for another day. Also did the bottle bank, and have cleaned the kitchen floor.

Still need to do the hall stairs and landing - I hate vacuuming the stairs but they desperately need doing, and still to start on the bathroom......

    It's never ending!

I don't use olive oil (when I am being good) but do add cherry tomatoes to keep everything moist. So, just a pan full of butternut squash, courgettes, red onions, peppers, aubergine and tomatoes.....bit of salt and pepper and some herbs.

Occasionally I will have a couple of sprays of frylight over the top, but not usually.

voila, no points, and no dried up veggies either!

I've not used frylight, but I have used refillable sprays in the past for olive oil or sunflower oil. It uses nearly none, as you can tell by how infrequently you need to top them up. Not sure what frylight is, or how expensive it is, but it could be an alternative.

One day I will get a refillable thingy for olive oil, but as a bottle of frylight does me for at least a year, I generally only think of it when I don't need to replace what I already have!

Well, the bathrooms are done, and the landing is cleared and vacuumed. I started to do the stairs - got half way down, and the hoover decided to cut out. I think I will take that as my cue to give up for today!

I've got to iron a few bits that I washed today, but apart from that I will accept that this house is too big to blitz completely in just one day!

It is much better than it was, though, and if I can do some flylady-type things for the rest of the week, I might just about be on top of it all by the weekend.

Hi souk - I forgot to put the WW portion sizes up so here goes:

    Pasta - small portion = 75g cooked/20g dried
    medium portion = 150g cooked/40g dried

    Rice - small portion = 75g cooked/30g dried
    medium portion = 150g cooked/60g dried

Couscous - medium portion = 150g cooked/60g dried (or half a sachet of the flavoured stuff)
