Lunchtime - i've not stopped all morning, yet I feel as though I have achieved nothing :( I'm not sure whether I am just going round and round in circles, or whether I am inadvertantly doing the "dot to dot" method which will all suddenly look better when I finish this evening.

I've cleaned the lounge carpet, so that needs to dry before I can put the furniture back. I've decided against doing the hall carpet today as there is too much foot traffic about today - best to do it on a day when the children are with their dad.

The washing machine is working overtime, but it is very temperamental so I have to drain it manually each time which is neither fun not fast, but at least I am working my way through the wash basket.

I will take the hoover and polish to my bedroom next, then sit with coffee while I watch Jeremy Kyle and remind myself that I am not doing such a bad job at this thing we call "life" after all!

Hope your days are more exciting - Se, I will look at the links later - at the moment they are likely to make me want to scream at the chaos that surrounds me :o

    Have fun!

OMG Hypno, don't watch Jeremy Kyle - it's life energy sapping tripe!

I'm sure when you sit down tonight it will all feel nice - at least you know it's done and sometimes that is enough :)

Well I've gone through the clothes I've got here, and worked out I think what the gaps are. So will have a sensible shopping list.

The diet must have worked at bit, as some clothes are being stored away as too big, not managed to get the scales working yet, they're complicated ones that measure body fat etc., so need time to read the instructions then I'll discover how good or bad things really are.

I think some clothes are still missing, must be in boxes we didn't spot in the store. Another store run planned for tomorrow though.

Washing machine is working overtime here too Hypno.

Macgirl - one of the main criteria was a minimum of a large garden. We want to try to be self-sufficient on fruit & vege ideally.

well i like the phrase 'dot to dot' houswork, that is def. my style and no wonder i sometimes feel (well often feel) like i never achieve anything...
what a miserable day, don't know what to do so not doing much of anything but know i will regret it at end of day...bit of mse on here, half watching tv....trying to do some of my tax return but giving up, should i read, raining outside...feeling blah..... highlight of my day is having fresh (but frozen) tuna for tea which i got on a whoopsie last week... me thinks me needs to get a life:)

Sorry you're not getting the buzz from the cleaning, Hypno - I hope it starts to work soon. I'm pretty shattered right now - just gone back to ebay listing while I digest my lunch - I don't dare take a nap like yesterday, I'll never sleep tonight. Going to try to get into the garden to do some physical work, then relaxez all the way to the bath..... I obviously have the same exciting life as others on here :)

No, definitely not getting a buzz from the housework today KC, but gradually getting there.....just at a slightly slower and less sparkly pace than I had hoped.

Hall, stairs and landing is next....followed by the bathrooms......and I must remember to go and get some milk as we have just used the last of it.
