You are a super busy bee, are you going to have some nice chill out time now the hoover has packed up? I cleaned our carpets a few months ago and couldn't believe how dirty the water was  I felt very very dirty!

Yes, the hoover has decided to call it a day, so I took it as a definite sign :D

The place does look better, so I am glad I made the effort today. Just chilling now for a couple of hours before I attempt to get some sleep!

Hope you sleep better tonight dh woke me up at 5 coughing - then promptly went back to sleep leaving me tossing and turning. I COULD NOT get up at 5 a.m. especially on a Bank Holiday - there should only be 1 5 o'clock a day and that should be tea time LOL

Well done on the cleaning - I have done none. I am still off tomorrow though so will fly around in the morning in peace whilst I have the house to myself - I can get much more done without distractions - that's presuming I'm not distracting myself on here.

I've done very little proper housework since I had my fall skiing as my hand is still sore and I have little in the way of grip still. So the house very definitely needed some attention before it got back into the state of old!

I will try and be a bit more flylady-like over the next few days.....shame that work gets in the way of all these things I need to do!!

Oh definitely. Work is the bane of the drinking classes and all that - or in our case, the dieting classes :) thanks for putting up the carb portion sizes, I eat massively too much pasta, I'll have a go at measuring it over the next few days.

Y'know what? I've been thinking about this whole portion size thing and I reckon that modern plates have a lot to do with it. Back in the day plates came with an edge/border to them, wheras modern plates tend to be edgeless. We have always grown up with seeing a plate laden with food, so this is something that we subliminally carry forward onto these new edgeless plates, even though the surface area of an approximately same sized plate is far greater due to the reduced size of rim, so even though it looks to be the same sizes plate, it actually contains considerably more food.

Just a thought...followed closely by who saw Alan Davies sat between Jennifer Lopez and Karen Gilliam on The Graham Norton Show? T'was very funny. :D

When I went to IKEA the other week, I bought some small dinner plates 35p each, so bargain.....good for the diet, plus they fit in the dishwasher far better than my others!

1st Month payments have been paid finally (bank holidays getting in the way!) so my signature has been amended to show £16,297......getting there!!

10ps only on scratches, and apart from the payments leaving the bank today, nothing to report in banking at all.

Hope you all have a good day!

Thanks everybody! DS will now only answer us if we call him Sensei :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well done all on the cleaning, my house looks like a jumble sale, but if DH isn't working by friday and its not raining we will head to a good local car boot sale! I think we could do them every week for the rest of the year - I dared to peek in the loft

    Good morning,

Well done on the updated signature Hypno :T:T

    Hope the hand improves soon.

I managed to get the scales working, had hoped to be sub 10 stone, weighed in at 140.6 lbs, 10 stone 0.6 lbs, so although it's not what I wanted it's the lowest I've been for years. Not had time to get the bmi and body fat measurements working though.

Would love to be 9 stone 5 lbs again, so 9.6 lbs to go. So just got to stick to it. Fridge, freezer & cupboards are full of healthy/dieting food, so very few 'temptations'.
