Well, a friend popped round for coffee, so we have just spent a couple of hours in the sunny conservatory putting the world to rights. Always a good thing to do from time to time

I've put my bets on the Grand National - couple of quid each way on horses that have nice names and nice colours......I don't look at how well they might perform or who their trainer or jockey is :rotfl:
Lunch is cooking and I will eat that and then get on with this paperwork.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Sounds like a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Good luck with sorting paperwork, I've got that dark cloud looming overhead

I've still got plenty of paperwork to sort, but today I want to get a specific job done which I have been meaning to do for a while.
Just made £5 on a casino offer.....:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Decided it was too nice to do paperwork just now - that can be done this evening.
Instead I went for an hour's brisk walk in the sunshine. My legs ache too much from yesterday's run to consider running, but I thought the fresh air and exercise would do just nicely.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine too :cool:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Still in dressing gown here, so the day is going to plan

Might get dressed soon!!
Sound like the walk was a good idea Hypno.0 -
It was lovely - I need to take control more and stop making excuses as to why I can't find time to exercise.
Now I'm going to listen to Paul McKenna tell me that I don't like chocolate any more.........although I will prob just fall asleep during it

Hi Hypno, I dont post often but have been following this most recent diary instalment. You've inspired me and I've dug out my weight watchers books and calculator. I have spent the day in shock, working out the points in some of my food I can understand now why my jeans have shrunk! Day one back on the points limit and its hard going, once I get past the first week and into the zone its easier. SO thanks for the inspiration, might find the trainers again soon.....one step at a time! ha ha0

Hi Waterwatcher! It is amazing how our perception of what is "healthy" or a "small portion" etc is very different to how it should be. As you say, it is no wonder we are getting bigger!
Good luck with getting back into the points....I'm finding the online tracker incredibly useful this time round and also I am weighing things like cereal, rice and pasta to see what constitutes a "medium portion" and generally learning a lot more about what I eat and when.
I've just listened to Paul Mckenna, and did indeed fall asleep. I certainly didn't wake up a stone lighter :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
