    Hypno,
I do feel sometimes you and I were separated at birth...
I eat when I am bored, lonely, stressed, sad.
I loooove chocolate-and crisps. And chips.

Anyhoo, well done on the run, I have brought my running kit with me and I am determined to go on a run whilst I am on hols...

Ooh, yes, bun - running in the sunshine is just so fab, so get out there and enjoy!

I am making slow progress with the "eating triggers" but it is slow.....but it IS progress I think.

This whole "situation" I am in now is making me think a lot deeper than I have done before, and there is a heck of a lot of "stuff" I need to sort out....baby steps :)

Right I'm obviously a simpleton but just gone to withdraw my Littlewoods money and it's saying I'll lose my bonus. But do i need that anyway if I only want to do scratchies? Confused. promise I will go away and stop asking silly questions after this. Oh and Hypno, call me a pragmatic Scot but too much navel gazing is not neccesarily a good thing! Onwards and upwards and all that!!!

    My problems with food are:
    • I eat when I am stressed
    • I don't eat at regular times
    • I am badly organised
    • I like chocolate very much
When I am at work, I am able to eat at more regular times, and am better organised, as I will make a packed lunch before I leave work etc.

Hopefully, as things settle down, I will be less stressed. If I can continue running, this will help, as will the sleep thing.

As for liking chocolate - I am doomed :rotfl:

just a quick one: it is said that regular eating may help with the stress levels. (3 meals, 2 healthy snacks) if your body knows that a little something is coming along on a regular basis, it won't go into "oh my goodness, I may never eat again, need to hang on to every last bit of fat" mode. Also, I I read something that said cravings are the body's way of telling you it's a bit short on an essential vitamin or mineral... Also, it may be worth looking at the subject of adrenal burnout, way too technical to go into here.

Don't worry about losing your bonus - it is no good to you anyway, so just withdraw, make sure you always have 10p min in your account, and get scratching!

Re Naval gazing.....well, my husband has yet to tell me why he left, so I am still trying to come up with the answers. However much I want to say "forget it and move on", it isn't that simple. And of course a lot of things then overlap.....eating, and control, and self esteem, being just a few.

    :(

I try and eat something every 3 hours, which fits in really well with a "normal" day. Doesn't seem to work so well when I am at home though.

    Off to google adrenal burnout!
