Bill can you post up the wording of the appeal response that POPLA sent you (i assume shona!)For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
Yes of course they have permission to be there.....But I am talking about the contract that says "They can take an individual to Court on behalf of the land owner - this is an entirely different thing and I hardly think a large land owner would allow that.
BASFORDLAD - I will post up the text as soon as I can........
It is based on the HMRC case though - but only the applicable section and the PPC's lack of evidence to support the proprietary interest in the land they operate on.
I am now seeking compensation for all the time postage and agrivation and having to defend myself when a simple and HONEST appeals process would have found I was genuine.0 -
Hi,
Ive just come back from (the now infamous) Robin Park and whilst there was issued a "parking notice" for parking in a disabled space without displaying a blue badge (which was in the car, we just forgot to put it on display).
I'm more angry at the fact that the guy that issued the ticket must have watched me park up, help my wife into her wheelchair and go into the one shop we wanted to visit before slapping the ticket on my windscreen then anything else (and the tax disc shows the car as being registered disabled which he must have seen as he carefully placed the ticket directly below it!).
Probably too much to ask for these money grabbing ingrates to give you a friendly reminder instead I suppose. :rotfl:
Anyhoo, I've had a read through this thread and have a couple of questions.
First off, I gather the first piece of advice is don't pay. Is this still the case? It does seem a while since anyone was actually issued a ticket on here.
And secondly, should I contact them via their appeal system, explaining that we do actually have a badge, or do I just ignore them?
Thanks for your help?0 -

If you start a new thread with this post and put "disability" somewhere in the heading, you will get a load of help from coupon-mad who is very hot on disability discrimination.0 -
Well, I've just been down to Robin Park, used my motorbike due to the weather and ease of access. Like many motorcyclists you choose a safe place to park your bike, out of harms way and car doors, also with the heat of the day, 29 deg today, i wanted to park as close as possible to the travel agent so i didn't need to walk far with all my heavy , hot bike gear on, I had parked under a tree on one of the central pathways that run through the car park, not obstructing anybody or anything, nice and tight up to the bushes, when riding into the car park there are no clear signs that there are motorcycle bays available anywhere thus I chose my own "safe" place. The ticket was stuck to my seat when I returned, £60 !!
I'm just wondering now if the law has changed recently? alot of the advice I can find is quite old, also my offence was " not parking in a bay " but theres no clear signs for motorcycle parking.
your thoughts please if you could.0 -
My thoughts are (i) you should start your own thread and (ii) it's a terrible world we live in when the old, unwritten law that bikers park where they like no longer applies.
Do nothing unless and until you receive a Notice to Keeper in the post, at which point we'll help you send them packing. But please start your own thread.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Ok thanks for the advice and quick reply !!0

You're welcome, keep it shiny side up!Je suis Charlie.0

Please don't bump old/outdated threads - It confuses people and won't get you any up to date help.
Read the following, then start your own thread for advice once you have the bones of a challenge/appeal together. Ignoring has not been advised for a long time now.
