Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on*
Morning folks. Sorry, but I'm having a bad one today.
I'm clearly not made for a life of idleness. One week off work is starting to affect me because I know that this time next week, there'll be no money coming in. I've spent most of the morning manipulating my spreadsheets and internet bank, shuffling money around and wondering if I can get away with not paying for something - anything!
I'm trying really hard to think positive. I'm going to fill my grant form out in a minute and take it to college to see if they'll give me something off my course fees. I've still got to find nearly £200 for my course books, though.
Nothing from AQA yet - everytime my inbox clicks I get a little flutter and then realise it's more spam. No phone call from the Not Very Well Paid Agency either. I've decided against that job btw - don't shout at me! I know it's money, but long-term I think I'd be unhappy and I don't want to end up on ADs again.
I'd better go. I'm making myself feel worse.

Thanks LA - I hope so.
PP - thanks for the reply. I probably will get a freezer, but probably not at the moment. Better save my pennies for a bit. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

Chin-up girl....it WILL get better. And if things are so tight then maybe you should take that job....even if just for a month or so. Have you tried going to other agencies? What about doing market research - not mystery shopping (doesn't pay), but groups - they pay generally £30-£60 for an hour or two. If you live in London, PM me and I'll see if I can get you fixed up with my market research ladies.
Big hug and stay positive....we're all sending you positive & happy little vibes!0 -
And breathe....
The Not Very Well Paid Agency got in touch with a temp job for next week. Buttons per hour, but any port in a storm. So lentils for the forseeable, and no overpayments on the debts for a while, but I'm a lot more relaxed about things.
Thanks all for your good wishes today.

Libraries gave us power
Then work came and made us free
But what price now for a shallow piece of dignity*
Just a short one today - it's been a dull old weekend.
The Spanish Inquisition haven't got back to me about the job - I suppose that's a "no" then. Ho hum, keep looking...
Temp job tomorrow - for the bad pay but :T that it's from the Not Very Well Paid Agency who always find me nice work, even if it does only stretch to lentils.
I spent most of Saturday in the library - I love the school holidays. No daft teens sent there to study but actually arriving in packs and running about squalking into mobiles and being generally irritating. No! They're all hanging around in parks drinking cider at this time of year, or congregating in huddles all along the High Street. So I got a fair bit done on pre-reading for the next part of my course. Six weeks to go and then back to normal (college feels normal at the moment!). Grant form filled in and returned as well this week, so fingers crossed that I get some money off my fees.
Nothing extra paid of debts this week  which makes DFD a bit further away. But I'm cutting myself some slack on that.
Have a good week, all.*A Design for Life - Manic Street Preachers:eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
A B C , It's easy as
1 2 3 , as simple as
do re mi, A B C, 1 2 3*
Song of the day inspired by job of the week. How simply joyous to be a temp and to be shown into an office with a desk groaning under a ton of paper.
"Could you start with the filing, dear?"
