I honestly don't know what I did before. I probably had a life and got into debt.:eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
I never doubted it
What's for you will not pass you by*
So far, so good. Nothing electrical has gone wrong. But there's still time.
The quest for DFW-ness continues apace. AQA are looking for UK researchers again, so I've just sent an email. Fingers crossed. Grassroots haven't paid me for three weeks, so I duly phoned them and they're doing a payment run today. That should be another £30 in my account by the end of the week then. Mystery shopping has been a bit slow over the past few weeks - I hope this picks up soon.
Conundrum time re work, however. Remember Benny Hill from last week? The company have asked that I "give the job a go" on a month's trial and my agency are pressuring me. Hmmm - now it would be a month's money with a view to permanent work ( - no way, Jose) but is it worth the trauma? I think, on balance, not. Anyway, I've been onto another agency (who don't pay as well but have never knowingly got me a dud job) to find me something for Monday. I can't risk another week of "resting" and even if lower wages make the DFD a little more distant, I'd rather have peace of mind and all that.
Why is work and the getting of it always such a pain in the neck? Does anyone on here actually enjoy work? Maybe I was born for higher things...
I think I'd better shuffle off down the gym to relieve some of this frustration.

Minnie,
Have to say that I love your [STRIKE]rantings[/STRIKE] diary, you should be a writer for a mag or something. Apologies if you already are and I'm just ignorant.
Am enjoying tune of the day but sometimes need a little help with which is which song.
Am sure the people at work think I'm strange with me here making little giggling noises!0 -
I have been to the gym.
I spent a full hour leaping about from CV machine to CV machine, but ultimately favouring the reclining bike. It's almost like having a lie down and I was helped by "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen on repeat on my MP3 player.
Still no temping work and at this point in the week, it's unlikely to happen. So I will be forced to continue decluttering and tidying up instead of counting the shrapnel in the cookie jar (£36.31 towards the going to college fund).
Hey - has anyone seen the news about the secretary who was today awarded £800,000 after being bullied at work? I know a lot of people on here have had problems of this nature, so take heart. Although, of course, it should never ever get to that point. Maybe taking a copy of the paper into work tomorrow and drawing a large red circle around the story and leaving it lying around on your desk could be a plan? :rotfl:
Oh yes! I telephoned the High Street Shop today about the plumbing fees. Refund on the way and I didn't have to shout a lot either. Five stars to them!
The August pledge - any extra cash coming my way will be flung at my debts with full force. So help me Martin. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

How DARE you?
He's 22.
And he's history.
(Not that we ever got past the "let's go out on a date" stage. Which didn't happen in any event. But very nice and life-affirming to have a handsome young chappy hanging on my every word!) What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

Verily, child, thou art forgiven.
I'm off boys/men at the moment anyway. Even SS. Except Ray. Does this make any sense?
Time for a lie down, methinks... What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

Probably. Who cares? He's the loser here, not me. And you know he'll regret it! After all, looks (particularly of that sort) fade.
Girls like that are ten-a-penny. Women like me are unique.
