Well I'm not too worried about the address. I plan to move next year too and besides, I can't think of many reasons why someone would google my address? Names, sure for reasons stated in previous posts, but would why someone google someones address and of course, they'd have to know the address in the first place to do it.

Is it that some names are just so far down the search results that you don't see them, or is it that they do not appear in the search results at all? If they do not appear at all then it is because google has not spidered the page or it has been restricted (perhaps due to robots tag as was mentioned earlier in the thread). If they are just really low in the results, then it could be for any number of reasons. With personalised search results now being rolled out by google you can't even be sure that the results you are looking at are the same as the results a potential boss, date, landlord etc will see when googling your name!

I'm on both the Insolvency Register and the London Gazette sites, but still don't come up in Google as of yet. Any techies know who long it would take for Google to normally show someone details?

all depends on various things.....mine didnt show on google till about 20-30pages in

Last time I checked with the Gazette they informed me that they tried to prevent google etc from indexing the entries.

However, Googlebot and other web indexers are constantly evolving, so what keeps one out one week might not the next.

Several people complained a long while ago which resulted in the gazette making some adjustments so that google did not see their entries again.

So if your entry is showing on google then I would email [EMAIL="gazette.london@tso.co.uk"]gazette.london@tso.co.uk[/EMAIL] with a complaint and details on the entry in question. Hopefully then they can identify why whatever protection they have in place is failing for some of the records and put it right.
