Hi
If you check the page before there is a message from Slade to say they have given up on the challenge. They just spent too much time on it.
Shame as I was enjoying this thread !!Easy Money0 -
Yeah, I did see that Slade was going to slow it down but I wondered if anyone was still doing it. I was enjoying following it and was waiting to be inspired.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000

why dont you start the ball rolling then boomdocker.....and carry on with this challenge.....two ways of looking at ot either 30k profit ( which will be very hard) or 30k worth of sales......
asi must admit this thread did get my attention tooWork to live= not live to work0 -
Just read this thread, doing a bit of investigation for a friend who's thinking of setting up a (actual) clothes shop. Thought she might try selling on eBay first as a bit of market research so I've found this very interesting and informative as well as enjoyable to read. Sorry Slade found it such hard going after all the initial enthusiasm, how disappointing for her though all power to her for getting off her butt (unlike me!) and actually giving it a go. Hope she's doing ok whatever, eh? I know it's been a year but I'd like to know how 'Debtfreewanabebeth' got on with her 'planetsms' thing. That sounded very clever 'though I'm still trying to work it out!0

Hmm, more or a lurker than a do'er. :rotfl:
I am currently taking part in the Olympic Challange which is raising cash for a 6 month period so I am selling on some of my bits on ebay/amazon/car boot which is very different from a business. I guess like a lot of people I am waiting for that magic 'ebay make me a millionaire' formula to land in my lap.
To those that have successfully set up a business no matter how big or small I say good luck to them as I don't have the drive if I am honest.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
hi.. boomdocker:beer:
i have just turned my hobby into a business for 2 reasons.... no1.... is that after selling some of my collections i started buying purely to sell on ebay......no2... know in my luck mr taxman would knock on my door ...lol...even though we said we would never...EVER.... set up another business after getting our fingers badly burned with the last one ....this one only got the extra regular commitment of £55. per month for the workshop...might need a bigger one in future as it is small .which is for storage at the moment....which only needs 1 months notice..... not being tied up to a 5 year lease like the last one...
whats this challenge you are on ? and how are you doing ...? ( sorry for going off topic)Work to live= not live to work0 -
Its a money creating/saving 6 month challenge. If I have done this right there is a link to part 2 of the thread below. You will see some poeople have a line in their signature with their progress in it. I am doing better than I had hoped but that is in part due to some shares Idiscovered I had at work (now cashed and banked)

Hi everyone
Just in case anyone one is still doing the £30k challange i have found that the things that sold best for me are:-
1, Starwars figures. You can always find odds and sods of them in local papers or car boots.
2, Trading Cards. Magic the Gathering and Pokemon always did well for me ( but i did have abit of knowledge about them previously).
3, Pet related items like beds and toys.
Hope everything is going well for everyone else, I am still selling a fair bit on ebay and might even step it up a bit soon as time restraints are a bit easier now.
Good Luck To All
