The omelette rolls gave me an idea, i don't know what you'd call it but
i've had rolls with mince and veg in them and wrapped in big cabbage leaves. I steam them but suppose could be heated in a microwave.

There isn't really anything wrong with a sandwich and a bowl of soup either. It's the portion size which matters. :)
  • I don't eat Bread so i have either Ryvitas or Rice Cakes instead and just top with whatever you like

  • Just bread, but as I want to lose some weight would probably be wise avoiding pastry, thank you the ideas. The omelette rolls sound intriguing xx

In not sure what cutting out just bread/flour based profits will achieve.

For best results you need to cut out any root veg (inc potatoes), rice, pasta, fruit, pastry, crackers, couscous and up veg and good protein intake.

I've been following a Healthy Eating Plan devised by a NHS Dietician based on 'The Eatwell Plate' -

    http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/eatwell-plate.aspx

That gives some idea of what it's all about - but the actual 'Tailor Made Plan' is devised especially for each individual. It's mostly about understanding what constitutes 'portion sizes'.

I'd recommend seeing your GP and asking to be referred. I can honestly say that I've never felt hungry or deprived on this Plan.

Incidentally, I'm 62, lost 7stone and managed to maintain for around 6mths at the moment. From tomorrow - I'm back into it again with a renewed effort - with the aim of losing another 2stone.

Another little snippet - my eldest son (aged 40) has lost 12stone on the same Plan. He's gone from 27 down to 15 and has maintained for 12mths :j :T.
  • Thank you for your tips xx

Couscous, with roasted veggies or anything really.

I take pasta dishes to work and heat those up in microwave. If you keep the sauce separate it doesn't absorb during the morning/overnight
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
