People must call up OFCOM too. There seemed weak when I spoke to them but there was also a sense of "watch and wait" - ie see how many other people complain about it.

Renewed my contract in the T-Mobile shop yesterday and got a Desire. Apart from all the usual contractual stuff to sign, they gave me a bizarre sheet with stuff on it saying "I agree that if a fault develops after 7 days, then I can't get a replacement or refund but that it will taken in for repair."

Also.. it said that I understood that Lebara and Lyca would be charged for...

I got charged £12 over a period of 4 months. I called up to complain. I got my money back but was told that it would now be charged henceforth which I was not happy with. I have found a slight amendment to the 'UK mobile list' on the t-mobile website.

I was never notified in writing of this, so I am sure they must somehow be in breach of the terms and conditions

My mobile number was issued by o2 moved to 3 back to o2 back to 3 now with o2 again & it starts 077 so how are T-mob customers to know it's with o2 & included ? Guess ?

I left T Mob many years ago after a few chances for them to redeem their mistakes-clueless bunch of Germans didn't, I left.

I have an 077 number, too. I got it with Vodafone about 5 years back, then ported it over to guess who? Yep, T-Mobile...and that's where I've stayed ever since. So, I have a 077 number on T Mobile! Doesn't cause me any problems and people don't get charged for calling me (including those on T-Mobile).

By the way, there's no need to bring nationality into it. Says far more about you than it does them.

Thanks to all who've posted. I discovered today that I'm a victim of this "mugging" (the word I used to the T-mob rep - pointing out that I was not being personal). He refused a refund and I'm waiting for their response to my "official" complaint. Can hardly wait for tomorrow to call Ofcom. I'm still in shock. I would expect to be told upfront and in plain terms at the start of the contract - and, as has been pointed out here, there is no way of knowing if the mobile no. has migrated, which makes T-mobile's policy untenable. This is disgraceful and should not be allowed. I'll report back.

Well, I duly phoned Ofcom today and got a very evasive response. In short, they will add my complaint to the list and a decision will be made on whether or not to approach t-mob about this! They accepted that having no way of knowing if a call would be inside or outside of your allowance was important but that as much as I could get from them; very disappointing.

I have just ported my 077 number from o2 to T-Mobile, had it for maybe 6 or 7 years, so T-Mobile might charge other T-Mobile customers more to ring me even though I'm on the same network?
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

Yet another confusing thing is (I'm told) that you need the first 5 or 6 numbers before you know whether or not it's included in your allowance!! Ridiculous.

    no

who introduced numbers starting in 077 to this thread?

it's nothing to do with the subject

numbers ported to T-mobile will be inclusive in both cross-network and same network bundles offered by T-mobile

I happened to notice only today, I've been charged for Lyca numbers. Customer Service have refused to refund and pointed me to the excluded numbers listed in this forum.
Can someone give me Ofcom number please so I can call them up to complain, the lyca number belongs to my sister si I can't be without calling!
