this is from there web:
Can I keep / transfer my existing mobile number?
Of course, transferring your existing mobile number to Lycamobile is easy. Just follow the simple steps below:
Contact the customer services of your existing provider, tell them you wish to change provider and ask them for your PAC code, check with them that there is no charge for this.
Once you receive your PAC code call Lycamobile customer services and one of our customer representatives will help you start the transfer process.
As soon as your number is live with Lycamobile we will send you a text to let you know. In the mean time you can still use your Lycamobile with the number that was originally provided.
Please note: Lycamobile has porting arrangements established with the majority of UK mobile network providers. Please ask a customer service representative which networks are enabled for porting when you call.0 -
Guys I think my story tops every other one posted here so far.
I have incurred charges in excess of £900 for lycamobile calls alone (Over a time period of 6 month). I am currently locked in a desperate battle with T-Mobile, which has been going on since June.
Everyday I become a little more exhausted, but I have vowed to not give up until I have the charges expunged from my account.
I've escalated the situation and things are currently being moderated by Cisas.
My question is has anyone else taken things as far as taking your case to a moderator?
I have collected and submitted a shitload of evidence with my case and am now awaiting a decision from Cisas.
-I will fight T-Mobile with every last breath in my body (Not Really) and even if Cisas decided that they are in the right, I'll come after them with a lawsuit so massive their grandchildren are going to need lawyers.
Wish me luck!!0 -

been with them for 2 years and have to see what they have been doing with me.
One more intersting note: I called carphone warehouse to compare packages for business mobile, and they said all the networks charge for Lyca, if u r on business package!!

well my bill was just few £ more than agreed price I felt cheated, robbed, deceived and what not. I can just feel agony you must have gone through.
What was result of your battle mate?0 -
I have been charged a far less sum for calls to a LYCA mobile.... but i have still been charged. What a rip off, I cannot understand why T Mobile are able to charge for this.Titch0

Is there a possibility to get Lycamobile charges refunded? T-Mobile just told me they won't even give me a discretionary credit as they see no fault. It doesn't matter that the business line was with them since 2006, they simply do NOT care.
I think other providers don't charge for calling Lyca so will most probably be switching soon. However, any idea if sending to the OfCom letter explaining my provider charged for "all inclusive" numbers excluding Lyca would help?
What's more, as soon as my, my dad's and my girlfriend's contract finishes I am moving away from the T-Mobile as their services has been just terrible for the last 2 years and they definitely see no problem in losing customers.0 -
This is the sole comment on the subject on the T-mobile website at the moment on a pdf for business tariffs, as it says.Calls to 07 non-standard mobile services are not included in allowances and will be charged at the standard mobile rate on small business price plans.
Somebody not on a business contract might not naturally assume that this would be applied to theirs without saying so.
The EE website excepts them on small business contracts, and on contracts dating from before 1st February 2012.Chargeable Outside of Allowances (Applicable to Customers joining before 1st February 2012)
I read someone on here the other day that this no longer applies. Maybe a more accurate version might be that someone who has not updated the contract for 2 years will be charged.
But I'm guessing that.
There is a number search facility on the EE website, but it doesn't seem to work properly for mobiles at the moment. Numbers from Toggle (Lyca) O2 and Three are declared as not a valid mobile number.0 -

You are correct, EE charges for calls to Lyca as standard mobile calls (and included in allowances), as does Orange, (T-Mobile treat them as normal calls on contracts from Jan 2012).
EE actually specifically name them in their allowance section.Which calls and text messages to UK mobile numbers are included in my allowance?
Calls and texts to many of the most popular UK mobile numbers are included in your allowance. Inclusive calls currently include (but
are not limited to) calls to the UK mobile numbers allocated to the national UK GSM cellular network operators EE, T-Mobile, Orange, Three, 02, and Vodafone.
On this plan, calls to one of the mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) exclusively using numbers allocated to these UK GSM cellular network operators (e.g. Virgin, Tesco, Lebara) are also included, as well as calls to most other MVNO number ranges, such as those currently allocated to LycaMobile.====0
