Grrrr, really angry right now. I had agreed with Ex that I would take DD2 to an indoor play centre near where he lives now. He had not seen DD2 for weeks as last time he turned up here he was drunk and I sent him away. Every now and then he sent me nasty text messages about him wanting to see his daughter and he has the right to see her etc. So I told him to go to a contact centre. Anyway, cut long story short, I had agreed to go to this play centre instead of the one I usually go to so he could see her. Said it was his last chance, if he turned up drunk or started arguing with me I would leave and he would have to go to court to get contact.

So I got there at the agreed time and stayed for over two hours. He didn't turn up. I had told DD2 that he would be there so obviously she was disappointed. This was not the first time he let her down.

So when I got home I sent him an email, stating I was there for over two hours, and he replied saying "Oh sorry, I had an interview". He couldn't tell me that before I set off or last night or whatever???? So now I will refuse all contact, he can go to a solicitor. I have had enough of this carp.
    Rant over, sorry.
Seems reasonable. I never tell DD1 he is coming so she isn't disappointed when he doesn't.

    And your evidence?
I think its a lady with an extensive vocab, who sounds like she lives in Wales, but doesn't...

Mmmm a Welshie but not a Welshie *ponders why* and the extensive vocab...... I suppose being able to pronounce LlanfairPG in full could include me in the running :rotfl: but then never having had a star myself I would have no idea on giving them out :rotfl::rotfl:

the dancing teachers. But this is a girl with NO piercings who is unimpressed by boys (presumably because of DS rotfl) and a low opinion of girls who are boy mad. Oh and she doesn't wear skirts (and as she has inherited the rather stunning Valli legs ;) this is a shame tbh )
She won't look like one (says she who has been to Amsterdam ;))

    are there THREE toots now?

Thank you to molly41 and lemanie!! I knew the flyladies could help! I can face 30 awkward 13 year olds last lesson Friday, but I don't really like going places I don't know, on my own, meeting people I don't know...:o

I've mended DS2's trousers that he ripped at school, made a casserole for tomorrow, dried the bedlinen, and done the online shopping - so...time for a cup of tea and a bit of NCIS before bed!

Have to confess I don't know what guided reading means???

Guided reading is reading with a group of other children who are at the same level. You all read the same book and answer questions about it - that's in a nutshell anyway.

Hardly done anything tonight - left work, picked kids up and went straight to DS's swimming lesson, came home, had tea, went to Mr As to pick up a few bits for Mum and Dad who come home tonight, went to their's to drop it off anf put the heating on and some lights, came home, put shopping away, deleted over 800 emails and caught up on the thread.

Nope, I know... :D But my lips are sealed until the mysterious one decides to fess up

But, if you individually want to send me who you think it is on the back of a £20 note, I'll let you know if you're right or wrong :D :money:

The meeting went exceptionally well. The OB wimped out in the end as he'd been to hospital today and was tired. Which is sad but certainly helped my aching back! The Citizen Smith type from the other side of the tracks never turned up which was brill.

There was the best turn out we've had for probably 2 years (all that mustering the troops to leaflet drop and tramping the streets myself worked!) which was fantastic. Hopefully, we're back on the right track (it was in danger of folding at one point - I like to think the tide turned once I became secretary ;) )

Bestest bit of the evening was just before the meeting started when the bigwig from the Council realised I was there. He blanched a bit when he saw me. Then came over a few minutes later asked if I was on "top table". He blanched a bit more when I said yes :D I do like catching 'em on the back foot ;)

But, I'm now reheating the soup I made earlier and will get myself on the outside of a large bowl of it any minute now.
