  • Hello everyone - I think it was 2 weeks ago I said I was going to start doing this again, but life interfered again, between things to do, ill kids, ill me yadda yadda it didn't happen. So this week I'm going to get there!

Have managed to get the living room under control (or at least it was before the dynamic duo decided to take out every toy in existance out again ) tomorrow I really need to tackle the kitchen full on, along with all the washing which is done and dried but never really seems to take that final step to being put away!

sexy and valli and any other primary teachers...I have just had a bit of a written rant in DD1s reading record as it seems to be being done entirely by DH. They have not recorded hearing her read since 22nd Feb. She is 7. AAAarrgghh.

Wouldn't mind, but only 15 in her class and two TAs.

eta sarahshattered DH says its a very strange thing to do, but hard to stop them. You are likely entitled to ask for a copy of all the recordings, if you want to make a big fuss.
see if you can find out if she is reading as part of a guided reading group - that's when most of my class are heard, though we do try to make time to hear our'poorer' readers from time to time individually and the TA who has an hour for book changing hears them, too.... Having said that I have no (YES NO) TA time other than when I'm in the ICT suite when I need her to support 26 7 yos doing ICT - and I teach them lots of extra skills lioke spreadsheet - they have used excel for pie charts and formatting skills, resizing picturesin word and, today Drop caps (ooo they said)

    minutes and recording?

seems odd - anything on the ACAS website?

Pen-Pen hugs on the bike accident. Glad nothing's broken. Bruised egos mend really easily.

Oh, and I prescribe a large steak.

No - not for putting on the black eye but for eating as comfort food! :D

    - if an admin person requires video tapes to take minutes, they are not up to the job! An ordinary audio tape recorder would be far more acceptable. Though the question does arise, what is the real reason behind the video taping?

Anyone heard from Sandy71? If you're lurking Sandy - hope today went well. We're here if you need to offload xxxx

    Hugs to L-L xx

Sexym - hope you're coping too.

Ended up rushing in and out this afternoon. Checked my diary and realised I had a dental appointment at 4.45. NN phoned about 3.30 wanting a lift - her car has a flattish tyre so she dropped it into the tyre place up the road. They have to order one in. So I chauffeured her home. May have to chauffeur her back again tomorrow afternoon after work. Then half an hour back home and back up the road to the dentist. Quick check up - nothing needs doing :D Then a session with the hygienist. She only hit a tricky spot once....

But, I have a ham in the oven just about finished cooking and the cats are yowling and the dog lurking - I guess they need food too so I'll go feed the tribe.

Hope everything went well today Sandy. I was thinking of you.

Thank you for your text message LadyL - still thinking of you too.

Hugs for the black eye penpen.

grateful I try to read with my children once every week during guided reading, and always put a comment in about what we did during the session - eg. we worked on finding information in the text, or we worked on changing our voice for different characters etc.

Thank you to all who thought about me today. I decided to go in, despite feeling really rubbish, and having not slept properly at all. Selfish colleague still not back - says she has flu. She may come in tomorrow if she isn't feeling too bad, as we have PPA on a Wednesday and we need to start our summer planning. Nasty DH is now saying that she wants to watch our science and RE lessons this week - she dropped into our literacy and said I had good writers in my class, so their RE and science books were disappointing, as they don't write as well in those. She forgets we have no TAs in our class in the afternoon, and I have a boy with such severe special needs, that he is in the process of being statemented (about 2 years old mentally and emotionally), and he takes up all of my attention in the afternoons, and some of the boys in my class are lazy and take advantage of this. Colleague also has severe special needs in her class and EAL children too who also take up her time. So, I've got her lovely visit to look forward to on Thursday avo. Feel even worse now cold-wise as can't eat a whole mouthful without stopping to breathe etc. 5 colleagues off sick today!

Well enough complaining, I'm going to tuck myself up in bed to watch the rest of Holby.

Hugs to all who need or want them.

    sexymouse xx
