I didnt fly after all tonight - I played with my daughter :T
I entered her hair and beauty salon and she had a field day. I havent heard her giggle so much since she was a tot. Her diagnosis was that I need a new cool hair do after she spent ages not being able to do anything with it, I need a complete makeover of my wardrobe, I need to change the colours of my make up, I have saggy skin and I needed a face lift and upon that she tried to hold it back with 2 pegs (although not matching) :rotfl:. It was good fun and a pleasant evening so her room is still untidy and I did nothing other than clear away tea things but it was Soooo worth it.

So I now have to bring forward my list and add it to tomorrows (which I probably did a lot of of Monday :D)

She is really depressed and low in mood but she also says that she feels strangely happy for no apparent reason at other times. She has times when she cannot sleep and many days when she is so so tired.
She said that she has nothing to look forward to, no friends and no life...... I feel that I should try and organise a week away in UK as this would be cheapest.

I really don't know much about depression, so feel free to ignore me, but I'm not sure that the prospect of a holiday will be enough to help. Also, if you make yourself worse through working too much, you will not be able to support her so well. Could you rope in her friends - maybe plan low cost activities like girly nights in or a picknick somewhere? And if she lives at home, could you tackle the flylady lists together? You'd be doing something active together and help each other at the same time. I think you are right to get in touch with your GP, though. Good luck with getting an appointment asap.

  • Good morning flygang,

Looks to be another lovely day here - I'm hoping DS is feeling much better so we can get outside in the air for a bit. I have plans on decluttering some weeds!

Its a bit early for any noisy HHC's - but will have HHC at my desk sorting some paperwork and emails.

Plans for later are to cross at least a dozen things off my to do list.

    See you all later,

    Moam

methekidsandthecat - you have a PM
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Morning all

Huge hugs methekids xxx Get your DD to the Doctor as soon as possible. If an appointment at your own GP is not available - is there a medic at the college you can arrange for her to see?

It's going to be a long day today what with the community thing this evening and picking the OB up and dropping him back. The meeting itself maybe quite fiery. We have someone high up from the council coming to talk to us about something or other but I'm not quite sure what. He said one thing to the Chairman when he invited himself but then, at the weekend, the local paper pronounced he was coming to talk about a controversial issue instead.

I'm glad I've stuck him at the end of the agenda! I also quietly arranged for a PCSO to be there just in case and I'm glad I did. Heard on the phone last night that one of our troublesome local characters has declared he's turning up. At least the arm of the law will be there to keep him in check!

Right, better go bathe and do the work thing
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
