only ever seem to come on in times of need sorry!
Had DS' appointment last week and they have made a firm diagnosis of Aspergers. Although its not entirely unexpected and not the end of the world and could be so much worse, but we are a bit shocked and feeling a bit numb really.
Serious case of the Black Dog. Have phoned my lovely GP and am going to see her on Thurs. Havent felt great for months and this is the last straw really. Not sure what I want her to say/do but I have to do something.
Since Wednesday I have made so many phone calls to various organisations I dont know if I am coming or going. I have tons of forms to fill in and already everything feels very overwhelming so here I am again to try and get my life a bit more in order.

Thankyou for having me back and my next post will be relevant and list related. I know in the past the support on here has helped me through some difficult times.

And big hugs to everyone in need at the moment.

    Hi JillD
Really glad you have got a diagnosis, Im currently going through the process of finding out if my ds1 has aspergers/aspergers autism,so could i ask how long it has taken you from being referred to getting a diagnosis?

    Thanks Helenx

I've made the dumplings ready to go in the veggie stew, so I'm going to have a rest on the sofa for a bit; hopefully I'll have a bit more "get up and go" tomorrow.:D

wilf, the company told me for months that they couldn't set up a plan but that i could make token payments. Everytime i rang they told me the debt was to be sold on very soon, they didn't bother but kept ringing looking over £600 in payment. I told them to join the que and the people who would do a payment plan would be paid first.
macpep hubby has schizophrenia and personality disorder. They won't give a name for the personality disorder just that it is severe.
Mumto5 big hugs, you would think that something else could be done instead of him missing the trip.
Pigpen KH is really living up to his name, the git.
    LL big hugs.
Dusty hugs to your DS, i hope the 4 weeks will fly in for him.
JillD deep breath one thing at a time and big big hugs.
Sandy i hope your appointment has went well.

My news is.........hubby is in restbite:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
He's really happy with the place and he gets to stay until sunday. So to him it's not that long and if he wants he can book to go down again for a week or two. He can also come home anytime he likes. I'm so happy because it lifts so much stress of me plus i know he's safe and that there is always a member of staff there. He burnt his hand the other night and i just knew i couldn't pull him through this one and that he would just get worse. He knew it to because he asked to go to hospital, he knows it's hard on me when i'm stressed myself so i'm really proud of him for going.:D

I got back and feed Rhys and the sparky arrived and of course i didn't have the front room emptied.:o He did say he would call back later and not to worry. I've it all cleared now. I just need to completely gut the livingroom as the builders have been in and out all day and there is dirt everywhere. Cuppa first tho.:D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I was on a roll yesterday with cleaning windows in the hall & front & back doors. I’ve cleaned the LR windows today!!! I know!!! :D:D:D I think it might be a distraction technique (I haven't tackled the oven yet- ssshhh!)

Mind you, DH came back & said ‘you tried cleaning those windows? Look at the streaks!’ I said, ‘at least now I’ve cleaned off the dirt you can see the streaks!’ (he used to be a window cleaner & so is quite particular about them….when he does them!) Maybe now the streaks will drive him mad & he’ll go out and clean them properly :D

Catch up with you all later……….. going to Mr T (cupboards empty), bank (account empty), then school run….. planned it all badly today I think……managed to get DS3 off to his mates for tea, but then invited friend of DS2 for tea, so I still have 3 boys to cook for……spag bol it is (everyone’s favourite!)

    D'you know? ...... I can see a STAR coming very soon......... :D

    Unloaded & reloaded DW

    Hi all

I made it to Guildford to meet my friend. Had a lovely time - cup of tea (sat outside!) followed by a wander round and then a nice lunch at Giraffe. Got back about an hour ago and have made a spag bol for dinner, though i don't think I'll have any as I'm still full from lunch. More for the freezer that way ;) I've also washed up all the dinner prep stuff to save dh a job when he gets in.

Before I left this morning I sorted out another bag of stuff for the charity shop. Have also emailed a potential collector of freecycle stuff who hasn't confirmed if she's coming tomorrow and have emailed someone who I did a book swap with but it hasn't arrived :(. I think we have a thieving postman as a few lovefilm discs have also gone missing recently.

Tomorrow is another busyish day, people collecting freecycle stuff 10-11am, I am collecting something from about 20 mins away at 11.30 then meeting a friend for lunch at 1pm. Then in the evening i'm going along to my evening course as I don't want to miss it and work will give me the time back. I can't wait for Thurs when I am having a day at home!!

Not enough flying done today for a star - visitor this morning, and then gardened the rest of the day. This morning on the allotment, I sowed some salad seeds and did more weeding, then this afternoon in the garden.:D

My crocuses are really pretty in the sun....as are the snowdrops, although the daffodils are not yet out which they usually mid-March.

Love and hugs to all those in need.

DS1 has tiled the laundry room window ledge today and is going to grout tonight.

I am having a day off tomorow and going out with DD so will have to do catch up on Thursday.

JillD It is a shock I know, but better to get a diagnosis now. I want to try to get one for DS2 who is too old for me to be allowed to persuade the powers that be to help.

vanilla well done on getting some respite for DH.

rach Sounds like you have managed to organise everything really well for tomorrow. Glad you are having some time for you too.

pigpen Don't you just think lots of admin people are totally incompetent?

    Sorry to anyone in admin.
I am still chasing a letter from DS1s uni to prove he is a student. They even made me pay £5 to replace the one I haven't received and that one hasn't arrived either. I know mine is a piddly amount of money compared to yours but doesn't fill me with any confidence. Same dept 'lost' DSs portfolio last year.
I just checked and I paid them on 22nd Feb.

business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

This was meant to be a quick post and catch up while downing the cuppa I made when I got in from work. The teas been long gone the time it took me just to flick through!

Morning everyone, i've skimmed through the thread but to honest i can't remember any.:o It's been mad here and my brains not working right.

Sparky arrived last night and put in 2 of the double plugs and changed one of the lights, he's coming back this evening to do more.:j
DD's floor is being laid as i type.

Hubby wasn't that great yesterday that he even asked to go to hospital but they had no beds.:( The HTT and another doc are trying to get him into restbite today so fingers crossed it will all go to plan and they have room. I know he didn't sleep well last night so i think the break will do him and me the world of good.

I also contacted one of my debts this morning that had refused to set up a payment plan for me, i paid a good wee bit and they have now changed their minds.:D I did tell the man that i would pay £200 a month but he misheard me and put it down to £100 so that should leave it alot easier. I'm so pleased because that is every debt sorted now onto payment plans (which i can afford) or there just under there limit now.:j:j:j
Vanilla - I dont know how you hold it all together someones you have so much to deal with. ETA good to see hubby is now in hospital and that you got a break.

Hi wilf, we did a photo book for my dads birthday after he took us all on holiday - he loved it, so I think the scrapbook idea is excellent. Fo rmy mum's 70th we did a this is your life type photobook which if you can get enough photos would again make a lovely scrapbook.

I had meant to quote JillD too - Hugs honey, you know we are all here for you. Although the diagnosis for your son was partially expected it can still come as a shock to have it confirmed. At least now though he should get the help he needs.
