Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I'd been wanting to buy a satnav for some time but hadn't wanted to spend out hundreds on it!
    Moneysavingexpert to the rescue again!
I bought the last one in Comet at Braintree night before last. Gave it a test yesterday and it's great! Well worth the more sensible price and has all the options I need as your run-of-the-mill motorist.

Should come into it's own later on today when I have to take my daughter to a tennis match at a club in the back of beyond - no worries for a late arrival now!

Thanks to all who gave their advice and common sense comments in this thread - much appreciated.

Will this unit allow you to enter map co-ordinates, such as an OS grid reference or a Lat/Long reference amd then navigate there?

Sorry, no. Not easily through the user interface. You could create a favourite point (but only when actually there) and then navigate to it via roads only.

yes you can enter your own points of interest using the longtitude and latitude in excel. just click on this link and click on how to make your own poi's. it is very easy to do.

I use it all the time since i bought my i3. You can actually set a destination using a co-ordinate or lat/long ref. but you have to load it onto your sat nav unit using the poi (point of interest) loading software (also found on this site). This site also has the speed camera database that can be loaded in the same way, although there is a fee of £2 for this. Hope this helps with a few questions i've seen in this thread.
