Can't connect to Tesco website

I know it sounds really daft, but just check the time and date settings on your pc to check they are correct. Make sure you have the correct time zone too.
Yeah, excellent comment as that can affect security certificates.
OP
I think you need to bypass your BT 'hub' and use a proper router if you want to get to the bottom of the problem and/or remove/disable Windows 7 firewall. Any shop bought router has a hardware firewall built-in as standard so you don't have anything to worry about on the security front in the short term.
I really don't understand these 'hub' things. It's a b@stardisation (that is NOT a swear word!) of simple standard ADSL and it's not recommended. Especially when so many people have problems with them. It's just advertising too making people think it's better because it's a 'hub'.
Try any old router to see how you get on.0 -
According to Tesco themselves, they're still 'testing' the latest update to Firefox (3.6) - so if you're having problems logging in with Firefox, that might be the answer.
Shame on you for being so tardy, Tesco!0 -
We've always had issues with the tesco website and firefox (in windows and linux) - my missus now finds that it works best in chrome - still not perfect but pretty goodAndroid User/ Motorola Dext

No problems with Tesco here but their finance pages do log me out annoyingly quick.
I block loads of stuff with Firefox so that may be a good or bad thing on Tesco's sites but it's certainly good for me because Tesco's sites are like most companies' -crap.0 -

Don't update to Firefox 3.6, or you'll find that it doesn't work for you, because Tesco haven't yet completed their 'testing'!0 -

That's interesting. It still won't let me in:
We're sorry but the web browser you're using isn't currently supported by My Accounts.
If you are a Windows user, please download an up-to-date version of Internet Explorer (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx) or another recent browser such as Firefox (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/) or Opera (http://www.opera.com).
If you are a Mac user, please download a modern version of Safari (http://www.apple.com/safari/download/) or Firefox, (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/).
Why has this happened?
For your security we regularly update our list of supported browsers as new versions become available.- If you are using an older web browser it's possible it is no longer supported for security reasons.
- If you are using a very new browser there can sometimes be a delay whilst they are checked for security problems.
I'm using Windows 7, but can't see why that would make a difference. According to Tesco, they're still testing 3.6.0 -
Also try https://www.opera.com That's a very good browser too. Always worth having a backup browser.
I think the OP's problem is @ the router.0 -
could always change the DNS settings to OpenDNS ... it could clear up the problem...0

I am trying to find another modem that I can borrow to try it out,but the router worked fine for the last year on my old computer?
I have tried IE8,Firefox,Opera and Google Chrome but have the same problem with all of these.
Will come back when I can test a different modem.0
