Had an email this morning pointing out this petition.
No harm in trying...

Apologies if it has been posted before - a cursory look didn't reveal anything.

Nobody will take any notice of it.0 -
Perhaps not, but it has in the past generated some amusing replies from the PM, and I enjoy the thought of him wasting 15 minutes of his day to reply to us rabble-rousers (aka the general public)!Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

He probably will not even read it.
The " petition " system was only set up to let the gullible plebs think that they actually have a say in what happens, nothing could be further from the truth.

Let's all just sail happily into oblivion then without even trying. There is no try, it's a waste of time. Right?

Yup, I can guarantee that the " petition " will not make one iota of difference.

face facts, the country needs tax income - I for one would rather it is paid by people who have a choice over whether they pay it or not and yes everyone can use public transport it might be hugely difficult to do so however.
This compares to, for example, council tax increases where you can't avoid paying it yet do not get an increased service for having done so0 -
Old fashioned petitions were far better, someone at No 10 had carry the paper out to the bin before they could be ignored, with online it only needs a click of the delete button.
Wonder how many generations before they fit delete buttons to people who are considered to be no further use?0
