Maybe whatever you make put half towards the debts and the other half into a seperate account, just in case the rainy day happens? Jan 09. Wow Nearly 4 years since I last posted on here...
The debts are still there, my business model has changed masively, after I made 3-4 people multi-millionaires and basically just paddled water and struggled.
I hit 30 this month, and 2014 has been pretty bad for me financially in so many ways, but on the 31st Dec 2013 I said I would be getting myself as close to debt free as I could..
Well to bring things upto date.. I came into this year in the following position:
Mortgage: £2188 in arrears, £108695 balance remaining.
Natwest Loan: still the same as 4 years ago bar a modest £1 a month token payment
Water Rates: 253 in arrears Taking me to court
Council Tax: £733 in arrears
Credit Card: £998 Balance
ebay Fees Arrears: £768
British Gas Arrears: £412
Business Loan Owed: £583
To say I was upset, but my consultancy side of my business closed last may, leaving me with barely any money and I had to either grow the eCommerce side of my business bloody quick or go bump, £2000 on credit cards and a business loan gave me a small amount of money to get stock to get started.. It was truly do or die time..
To say I was really upset when the day before my birthday I received a final notice letter from the mortgage company that if I didnt clear the arrears within 21 days they would seak to repossess the property - and United Utilities are taking me to court about my debts despite me trying to contact them to resolve them, those were some real low points where I couldnt cope any more, and thats just Q1 this year..
Well I have setup an arrangement with my mortgage company, to clear the arrears, united utilities will only communicate through there solicitors, and my debts are the following as I type this..
Mortgage: £1655 in arrears
Natwest Loan: still the same as 4 years ago bar a modest £1 a month token payment
Water Rates: 318 in arrears with court costs
Council Tax: £488 in arrears
Credit Card: £1021 Balance
ebay Fees Arrears: £768
British Gas debit balance: £150
Business Loan Owed: £0
Trying to pick off every debt one by one, be as positive as I can, having just done my budget forecast for the rest of this month, I may be able to pay my bills by about 12p this month, need to get what we have in the cupboards to stretch a week, or to sell more things.
Still as determined as every, need a proper blowout weekend soon, have a weekend away booked in the cheap time between easter and may so hopefully should enjoy that this time (we try to have two weekends a year as our ecommerce business requires us 6 days a week and there only really cheap holidays, but the last holiday was absolutely ruined because the morons at paypal locked my account to 72 hour payment withdrawels for suspected fraud, despite every penny in it coming from there partner company ebay whose customers they knew and I had been selling £2k a week and not had a single complaint from any customer.. we had £10 to last us the whole weekend and was planning on going shopping the morning of the holiday.£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Well another day another payment made, Monthly payment made to my mortgage arrears, that equates to £440 paid off my arrears this month or £120 since I restarted my journal, bringing my mortgage arrears to £1531.23
Seriously stretched ourselves this month to get that agreement in place, living off the freezer at the minute as there is only money left for perishables
And last night the handle on the oven door decided to become detached from the oven door - I need to work out a safe and cheap way to fix it as a new oven is not an option for the next 6 months and opening the door with molegrips is not my idea of safe every night£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Well thats another months mortgage payment made, Will update my signature in a bit, and just had a phone call of my credit card processing company that they have been getting rejected direct debits - not rejected as in money has bounced as in the mandate is rejected
Means I need to add another £1081.59 onto the money I owe as I ahve to find some arrangement with them to get the balance paid off.£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Right, Its friday and ive just done this weeks books (normally do them at 4pm but it's been quiet.
Well this week I have paid the mortgage, and bought some food, paid the marketing for the week and for stock and post, and as of right now I have not maid any overpayments (annoying to me as I like to overpay every week to keep momentum going), and have a grand total of £0.48 to my name in the bank, and maybe the same again in loose change around the house as my wife has to get the train back tonight from picking my son up.
proper annoyed as 3 parcels could not get sent today because we dont have the money to pay the courier, but they will go monday£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

well the parcels went today, over the weekend it was very productive, A friend came over and taught me how to weld so now bar any welding materials needed (have plenty of wire, metal etc), I have work i can do on my project relaxation car for the next few months so should keep entertainment costs down.
Me and my wife are going out for a night out to celebrate my 30th tonight (only am month late), just a trip to the cinema and it will be the first time we have had some social time out this year and so am really looking forward to it. I have a big payment dropping into my bank in the next 48-72 hours so should be able to shift a chunk of debt and make this week a good week.£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!
