Didn't someone steal Alistair Cooks body a couple of years ago. There are some real sick folk in this world thats for sure.I have just got back from History class and am just about to dive into the freezer to find some fish for dinner tonight I have a feeling there is some lemon sole in there and I fancy that with some mixed veg and mash. With some pineapple trifle to follow then feet up and some midless t.v. for the evening I think.Hope everyone has had a good day

I'm shattered!! Took my work kids to Laserzone, but it was a 90min trip from my office, to pick them up, and to go to the town where it was! And then had the same return journey! ....in a minibus that does max 62mph on motorway - not fun! :rotfl: But they all enjoyed the game, I came 5th :j which I was pleased about as it was me and 11 late teenage boys!! :rotfl:Then we had an hour shopping/lunch etc.
The work meeting appears to be a success, I put my case forward for staying with my current team and she seemed to understand and accept so said she will think of a new solution, so finger's crossed.
I'm gonna make tea now and then sleep! So tired!

Evening all.
First, before I forget, Happy Birthday to Miss TiredMum and Mr Rachel.
Sorry I didn't post yesterday - had a really busy day, and simply ran out of hours.
Less fraught today, but unfortunately I slept all morning, so have spent the afternoon scratting around to catch up.:(
Dins is the 2nd half of yesterday's Shepherd Spy, as Mr LW is on late shift today.
Have to go and do a major raid on the F&V market tomorrow - we don't have a single spud left in the house!
Other than that, and our usual weekend tasks, not sure what's on the cards for the next couple of days; hopefully, something nice.
Anyways, I better get on, [STRIKE]The Gannet[/STRIKE] Mr LW will be in shortly.
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well done to your DS Bargain bird and great news about the van taplady.
I've hd a very frustrating day because I've been wanting to do things and then feeling ill afterwards. Our new mattress arrived but I only got as far as putting on the mattress protector and bottom sheet before I had to lie down.
DH is making dinner (very easy chicken kiev and parmentier potatoes from marks with sweetcorn). Marks had some really good offers on including a meal for four for £15 which is good value for mother's day. When they had their Valentines Day offer on I saw lots of men in the local Simply Food buying it.0 -

Snoozer ARE YOU MAD! putting bedding on is a no no anything using your arms so soon after your op is really not a good idea. Rest as much as you can get DH to do things; you really are naughty but I know where you are coming from about frustration., since my knees gave up on me I have found it very difficult to come to terms with - I used to do so much that I took for granted and it makes me angry when I try to do something that I used to be able to do without thinking. Somedays when the pain is so bad it makes me cry and I can barely stand let alone walk - then I just have to get on with something like knitting or sewing to keep my mind off of things and I buck up a bit.....
So please, please take it easy for a few days and relish people helping you out xxBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

BB is right. Snoozer you really shouldn't be doing anything more strenous than changing TV channels. I don't know what OP you've had but I suspect it's one that requires some rest.
Got to say I must be in some alternate dimension. both my kids have asked to go to bed at 7.30pm. Whats going on?!!!!!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Evening
Went to the doctors and he's referring me to a rheumatologist- he said there's evidence of joint damage in both hips and knees and although most of my blood tests came back ok the 'inflamatory marker' came back at over 30 and it should sit under 25 .... not sure i'm any the wiser to be honest. I think he is indicating rheumatoid arthritis.... but he didn't say so directly.
I don't really know anything about the condition - and I don;t really want to start googling in case i scare myself :rotfl:
Anyway just wait for the referral now

Sorry to hear that jc....... I have osteoarthritis so I don't know much about rheumatoid arthritis only that it is the body attacks itself, but I am sure another one of the girls on here know more about it than I do ((((hugs))))Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
